Pokemon Sun and Moon EP43 Reaction

HOLY SHIT WHAT THE HELL?! WHAT THE HELL POKEMON ANIMATION AND SCRIPTING TEAMS THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING!!!

First, Cerulean/Hanada Gym. The UPGRADES ARE MASSIVE. I don’t think I bothered mentioning this but in the time since Frontier to now of Alola, DAMN MISTY she really worked hard making it less of a performance arena and more of the Gym it was supposed to be (Taking advantage of her sisters’ continued absence I see!). There is also the fact that the gym has both water and land battle fields. Nice.

Second is how, from what I can tell, Misty pretty much uses Psyduck against beginning trainers now. While mostly unpredictable with its headaches and its slowness, I can understand that it give them a chance to gather some ground. Gyarados, on the other hand, I guess she reserves for more experienced trainers nowadays, and HOLY HELL her Gyarados is vicious! And COMBINATION MOVES? RAIN DANCE HURRICANE TURNED WATER TORNADO USED TO TRAP ELECTRIC TYPE USERS?! MISTY YOU ARE SCARING ME!

Third, Brock! Brock I see you’ve learnt something from Ash!! Of all things I was expecting out of the person who spent the longest time mentoring and travelling with Ash, a GYROBALL BASED COUNTER SHIELD? That was unexpected. Like really unexpected. Then Mega Steelix. MEGA STEELIX. Despite Kaki and Turtonator dealing out their Z-Move, one must account for the sheer size and Defensive capability a Mega Steelix has. 

Last, we have classic Ash make a comeback!!! This is not the first time Ash has had Pikachu run up the body of a much larger pokemon to strike a weak point. It is, however, the first time ASH BLOODY ASKS PIKACHU TO USE HIS OWN ELECTRICITY AS JUMP POINTS. HOOOOOOOOLY SHIT!!!!!! I was a little like Rotom down here for a moment. 

Speaking of Rotom, poor thing had so many confusing things happen this episode! First, Psyduck’s slowness and delayed attacks confuses it. Then Misty uses a water attack to block an electric attack, but it is kinda true since PURE WATER aka water without minerals, is a poor electrical conductor (Rotom where is your science?!). Lastly - “CLIMB THE HURRICANE” AND “USE QUICK ATTACK TO RUN ON THE ELECTRICITY”! Poor Rotom was soooo confused by classic Ash strategies!!! 

Also, Brock I see you there with that open mouth smile like you know what’s coming and you are trying not to laugh or face palm like Kukui did. He did both too.

One thing odd though is that unlike XY, the animators didn’t constantly animate in the Mega Stones on the Pokemon. On the trainers its a little forgivable??? Except Misty since her hair tie is there the whole episode and when she sent out Gyarados I DID NOT SEE HER MEGA STONE. In fact, here’s an awkward screenshot of that scene:

Okay enough nit picking. I LOVED the two nostalgia episodes to bits! Brock is still Brock with a few more tricks up his sleeve courtesy of travelling with Ash to four regions total, and Misty and Ash have a proper rematch that really show cased how much both have grown over the years, with Ash revealing his more unorthodox strategies and Misty pulling off a couple of electric stopping measures herself! It was amazing! Kukui revealing his intentions to build a league is still the same as in the games was a little surprising too.

Nur eine gute Szene mit Animation der Szene. Der Kampf ist sau cool, diese Szene alleine schon und da kommt mir in den Sinn, dass ich be diesem Rewatch eventuell mehr Szenen editieren sollte?

Ich hatte DAMALS sooo viele Szenen, 2018 und 19, was auch sehr nostalgisch ist nd ein rewatch gibt mir da immer die erneute Gelegenheit für

Wieder paar niedliche Frames von ihr. So niedlich wie sie auf Habitak reagiert, obwohl das auch in Alola existiert. Ich mag btw auch wie sie da beim kampf ist. ‘leave this to us’ gegen Rocko. Ihre ANimation hatte auch viele Frames, was mir halt so die generelle Meinung der Animation der Folge gab

Folge 42 und 43 ist für mich immer so der Wendepunkt, weil ab da so viele gute Folgen hintereinander kommen und ich hab da zu diesen auch mehr Nostalgie und Eerinnerungen. Beide Kanto Episoden sind echt toll. Die erste hat so einen schönen vibe wie alle abhängen, jeder Charakter die PKMN sieht, auf die er sich freut und dabei eigene Szenen passieren, und der vibe ist so schön. Die erkunden halt viel, kanto PKMN natürlich im Vordergrund und viele Dinge mit den Alola Formen und so und einfach viel schönes.

Natürlich auch schön Rocko und Misty wiederzuisehen. In Folge 2 hatte man viel mehr von denen, aber auch in Folge 42 viele gute Stellen. ich kenn die natürlich schone wig, versuche mich aber oft in eine Position zu setzen, wenn man die zb nicht kennt und da hat man aus beiden Folgen auf jeden Fall etwas gutes zu den beiden. Sind generell echt viele nette Stellen.

Die Kämpfe in Folge 43 sind sooo gut. Animation, geiler OST und in der Folge ist mir immer aufgefallen wie krass die Animation generell ist. Sehr viel Beweung der Charaktere, viele Frames und das hatte man in der Folge 43 halt richtig bemerkt. Fand ich nice. Da hatte man auch sehr gute Szenen der beiden. Besonders Rocko war da mit am COOLSTEN aller seiner Folgen und schon krass, wenn so spät sowas passiert. Generell, auch in JN

Die Einleitung von denen ist immer so gut. Misty btw muss ich immer erwähnen wie gut der Artstyle bei ihr ist, Rocko aber auch cool in seiner Einleitung mit den ganzen Frames

Vulnona Szenen  btw richtig schön. Das haben sie so visuell mit diesem Licht echt gut gemacht und generell schön wie die Alola Kinder da die Kanto PKMN sehen wollen. Sowas in der Art gibt es kaum im Anime, immer andersrum auf die neuste Generation.

Und solche Szene zu Szene war dannn echt nice. Jeder Charakter hatte eine. Die mit Kaki war auch sehr generell, die von Lillie und so

Ganz viele frames auch gemacht, weil sie doch so ghyped auf neue PKMN war. Ganz süß

Viel Continuity auch am Start, aber da hab ich letzten rewatch schon alles gepostet. Es sind auch so kleine Dinge wie die Stock backgrounds, die dann bei den Rocko und Misty ballwürfen kamen

Folge 43 die epischen Kömpfe, aber auch kleinere gegen die anderen und andere nette Dinge. Die Hauptkämpfe waren echt gut, mit die besten der Serie bzw Staffel, aber auch wie jeder einmal gekämpft hatte und so eingebaut wurde.

Die beiden haben mit die coolste Mega Entwicklungs Einleitung. Rocko super episch, ist meine Fave einfach, weil ich sein Mega Shinka so cool betont finde und generell wie Ash und Kaki reagieren Auch die Taktik gegen Misty mit der Elekrizität ist so gut, weil Rocko genau weiß, dass Ash so tickt, aber ich liebe auch die Reaktion von Kukui. Wirkt richtigauf mich als Zuschauer
