To the black women with small butts:
You are beautiful.
I mean it.
I know society expects you as a black woman to have a large round butt and fetishize you for it. I know your female relatives laugh at you about how small your rear end is. I know some men act disappointed when they see you because in their minds they think all black women should look the same. I know you sometimes feel pressured to get a butt augmentation. But let me tell you this: You’re not any less of a black woman for not having the “ideal” black woman’s butt that so many Hip Hop videos, Instagram pages, and advertisements put out there to make you feel your god-given body isn't good enough. You are not a white woman. You are a black woman with a healthy body just like any other, no matter how big or small your size is.
