it's really late at night. the window left open, a gentle breeze coming in as the sounds of crickets fill the bedroom. it's lit with just the moonlight alone, as two bodies are huddled together in bed. the blanket, haphazardly tossed on top, is just barely covering them, steam lightly filling the room as chad twirls his fingers through herms hair. herm hums a soft tune, while chad whispers small praises and gratitude's in his low voice. for once the two dont have to worry about how others see them, egos holding up broken facades, anxiety making decisions difficult and heavier than they really were. the world melts around them in that moment, as the summer night drifts them off into a comfortable sleep
