Death got some end-game fashion
Alexa, If you post the part 5 soon I will give you a blue cookie! (that i did not stole from Percy!) PLEASE POST THE PART 5!!
Before we dwell on part 5, we must go back in time, and see how Alexa coped with cabin 7 shall we?
Part 4.5, (Alexa)
There was only one word needed to describe cabin 7. Flashy.
It looked like a normal, ordinary cabin, one you might see at an ordinary summer camp. Well, an ordinary cabin which lit up as if made of pure gold every time the sun hit it. Which was a lot during the summer by the way. Connor and Travis quickly looked away when approaching it, but Alexa found out the hard way, that it’s best not to look straight at the building.
They guided her into the cabin, and when her eyesight settled again, she saw at least twenty other people, some not any older than eleven, others looked about eighteen and ready to set off for college. Another significant thing about each of them was, that a large amount of them, with a few exceptions, had blonde hair, blue eyes and tanned skin. Like a whole cabin of California beach blondes.
Suddenly Alexa felt really conscious about her looks. She seemed so out of place here. But Connor and Travis ushered her into the cabin and introduced her.
"Guys, meet your new sister Alexa!" Travis shouted to them. For a second, everyone was silent. One boy pushed his way forward. He looked like one of those teenagers who modelled clothes for magazines. His hair was swept slightly above his eyes and he stood casually, like he couldn’t care less about the world. Next to him stood a girl, about twelve. With caramel coloured hair tied up in a ponytail that bobbed up and down whenever she moved her head.
"I’m Will," He said. "Welcome to cabin seven Alexa!"
Suddenly the whole cabin exploded with cheering and welcoming. Everyone was smiling and greeting her, as if she were some long lost relative they hadn’t seen in a long time. Which, technically, she was. Travis and Connor excused themselves and left the place.
But the atmosphere changed almost immediately when one little boy, about seven, came up to her and showed her his ‘new feather which he just collected’. Unfortunately, Alexa leaned in a bit too close and produced a big, loud sneeze.
"a-a-AAACHOOOO!"
Alexa’s face flushed in embarrassment. She looked around at all the staring eyes, everyone looked stunned for some reason. Did children of Apollo not sneeze normally?
The girl with the ponytail slowly lifted a finger and pointed at her. “You-your hair….” She stuttered.
Oh no. Alexa thought. She turned to one of the mirrors hanging on the wall and stared at her reflection. Sure enough, her hair had turned almost as blonde as Will’s. All she needed now was the blue eyes and she could’ve fit in with everyone else in this cabin.
Apparently she was better at this appearance thing than she thought. Because the minute she thought that, her eyes turned a deep blue.
Slowly, the newly transformed Alexa turned to face her cabin-mates. She willed her hair to change back to brown but didn’t know if it worked. After a moment of silence, Will spoke.
"You’re biokinetic!" he said, a wide grin spreading across his face, "cool!"
"I…what?" She answered. She knew she was a metamorphagi, but ‘biokinetic’ wasn’t in her vocabulary.
"Biokinetic. It’s a rare power that children of Apollo get. You have the power to change your appearance at will!" He answered. Everyone was chatting at rapid speed around her.
"Uh, yeah. I guess I am biokinetic then," Alexa decided to just go along with their theory. It was easier than explaining her life story.
"How long have you been able to do that?" The girl with the ponytail asked.
"Um, my whole life I guess." The girl’s face brightened up with interest.
"Cool! I’m Alumina by the way!"
Everyone in the cabin patted her on the back and congratulated her on finding her first special ability. Alexa found she was smiling along with them. Her worried, nervous mood was replaced with a happy, laughing one as she changed her hair colour from brown to blonde to pink for the younger kids, much to their delight.
Maybe she wasn’t going to be much of an outsider after all.
I know I’m delaying the hellhound battle, but trust me, it’s coming soon!
