in the times I don't draw or post art I feel like I should be talking about stuff...
I've been meaning to talk about my experience between FL and FLi, just because many of my friends have FLi as their first fantasy life game (also I've seen some certain takes on the fantasy life game)
I feel like fantasy life itself is a franchise that benefits off of independent titles. Even if the characters from FL and FLO are present in the newest game, the content itself doesn't fully require the knowledge of playing through fantasy life.
However, I still find more appeal in fantasy life than fantasy life i. The storyline and fledgling story quests were better in my opinion, and I felt myself enjoying them a lot more. However, the quality of life in fantasy life i is something that I have really enjoyed and found myself missing when I was playing fantasy life
Personally I find fantasy life to be a lot better than fantasy life i, but I think it mainly stems from the story and the nostalgia I have for it.
also, I think it's the characters that I have a lot more connection to as well. While there are a fair bit of characters in fantasy life i, many of the strangelings that are encountered—especially in ginormosia—dont really have their characters as fleshed out as in FLO or FL
this is mainly about odin though (I want to see more content with him) and I wonder if it was different in flo because I never got to play it
Overall however I think it's a great game, I love fantasy life i, and I really think that it's a wonderful intro game to fantasy life for new players.
Still, if there's a way to emulate it then I really recommend experiencing fantasy life on the 3DS
