For the ask game: 18) What's the most obscure thing you've researched for a fic?

Has it been forever since I got this ask? Yes. Am I responding anyway? Yes. Is the response clear-cut? Nope.

Honestly? I don't research for my fics. I can't come up with an answer to this, because I can't even think of anything I've researched for a fic. I think I did once or twice, but it was never particularly obscure. I just write, and the final product is what gets posted. I respect and appreciate those who put so much energy into making their historical fics accurate, but I've never had the patience lol. Good question, though! Hopefully an interesting enough answer :D

     she’s well aware.   of her place in all of this,  a single piece in a chess game,  shuffled by hands that are not hers.   even before she joined the resistance,  she was building her own legacy:  her symbol hidden amongst source code of the places she had hacked.   a signature on a piece of graffiti.   leaving a mark.   now her mark was simply much bigger,  the stories more widespread.   ❝   i am what people need me to be.   ❞   trinity responds after a moment of silence,  chin tilted up as she regarded him.   she had learned to become a leader,  a mentor,  a sister for her fellow crew.   it was what she chose along with her freedom when she took that little red pill.   ❝   my only question for you is if you’re willing to do the same for the cause.   ❞
