Everything is related--no matter how diverse things appear to be. As such there is a meaning behind every small encounter, And it shall be by destiny that the paths meet at a cross-road; Only then that the fruits of chances will come into play.

They often say that every person you encounter--may it be those whom you walk with as you cross the street or the ones who buy the same brand of clothes as you do--could be the best friend you haven't met yet. It had some truth into it, but maybe it was yet another attempt for people to learn the concept of good will.
Either way, Makoto was a person to live by that thought; he tries to reach out to others and help them with his best-effort. Through it, he had learned to be observant of others even when he's just in a train ride. The sound of a crying baby, complaints of an ailing elderly, those who take the same route almost everyday (whose faces he had conveniently memorized out of repetition).
One of those was this girl who had this catchy, black mane who always stayed by the door, one whose voice remained a mystery. He was under the impression that she was sort of a... snob, for the lack of a better word. If it weren't for this particular day wherein the trains were real crowded and he had been almost squeezed against the glass and the girl, he wouldn't have found out that she could in fact, talk.
"Gomen..." He felt the need to apologize as they were dangerously close and he perhaps he was within her bubble of privacy. Luckily, his strong arms provided him enough leverage against the metal railings and he was able to push himself away from any proximate female. "E-er, I'll get off the next station, so don't worry. I'm really sorry for this..."
