Okay ranting time
Okay this is a rant about American politics, so if you don’t want to read, by all means, keep scrolling. So I am an white, heterosexual, American female who is not yet old enough to vote but that does not mean I’m not able to voice my opinions. This is what they are. Okay this is a rant about American politics, so if you don’t want to read, by all means, keep scrolling. So I am a white, heterosexual American female who is not yet old enough to vote but that does not not mean I can’t voice my opinions. First of all, I have no problems with any race, sexual orientation, gender, or personality, but it just erks me to no end when people think they are better than others because they are one way. Even people who supposedly have “priveleges” have it hard too. We have to deal with the stereotypes of those who hate everyone else. One white person hates on someone else who is different and suddenly that becomes all white people. Don’t get me wrong, I despise it when people get all hoity toity. People who are of different races and sexualities are stereotyped too and that’s what our world has come to. Just one big ball covered with hate and anger filled time bombs. Someone says one thing and boom. We go off. Wars start and people start hating the others who used to be their friend, or coworker, or family member. It also annoys me how people see the issues going on, but they don’t take the time to learn more about them before forming an opinion. And when those opinions are formed, most of the time, they’re pretty strong. They blindly follow whoever claims they will give them the things they want most. Our current president for example, has been doing some good things in office, but most of it eerily reminds me of Umbridge from Harry Potter. Signing executive action after executive action, sending awful, hate filled, negative tweets that just put down everyone around him, and make more hatred in the world. However, we didn’t have any good choices this election and that is the voters’ fault. And a lot of people who had really strong opinions didn’t vote at all! It’s not right. Hatred and injustices are awful things, and it’s horrendous that we still have to deal with them even with all of our advances. People need to start educating themselves on the things they truly believe in, or our country will just continue to get worse and worse until we suddenly have a Third World War. Please America, let’s get off of our couch cushions, away from our precious TVs and start making changes that really matter. #smallstepsgiantleaps
