((Sept. 25 is the 10th anniversary of Kathleen’s father’s passing. It’s an important date for her, as she still misses her dad very much. She’ll be a little distant and melancholy if anyone decides to contact her that day, and maybe tomorrow.))

Kathleen is actually very surprised at Emmet; the amount of genuine kindness in this young man astounds her. She lives in a hostile world with a lot of infighting, so when she sees someone take a step forward and offer peace, speaking so much truth in love–she’s not prepared to see that! It’s a hope for humanity thing, y’know?

Seeing this kindness firsthand helps, too. She was personally touched when Emmet helped her calm down after her panic attack, and she’s eager to return the favor. Keep this up and she’ll see him as extended family.

OOC:

Smart, I can assume, has seen Business at his best and worst; it’s safe to say she’s really impressed at his best. She admires his outspoken, can-do attitude (she wishes she was more confident like that). She enjoys his company when they hang out, cuz he’s just so fun. (Also, they’re both STJs, so they’re usually on the same page with organizing.)

She would be willing to tell him this, but the real secret comes when times are rougher. The thing is, he indirectly give her anxiety attacks. She worries so much about this guy; if she even thinks too much about him and his well-being, she freezes up. Sometimes, she thinks she can’t do anything for him.

All in all, though, she knows he has a heart under his tough exterior, and thinks he can be a genuinely nice person, so long as someone believes in him.

“I would like to take my chemicals. They could do a lot of damage to zombies, and they’d also keep me safe in other ways.”

“They were both secret agents. Nothing too fancy, but they were good at what they did (more or less…). Mom went into politics for a while and might retire soon.”

“…Not going to a doctor about something sooner, before it got worse…” (vague Smart is vague)
