Steph Bullock, Sam Heughan's girlfriend continues to show what a smart lady she is. She posted this to her public Instagram account stories earlier today. 👇
1. She is right, it's not prudent or ethical to provide mental health "advice" to anyone you haven't personally assessed and taken on as a client. So, she's protecting her degrees there, her professional reputation, and also safeguarding herself ethically.
2. Some of you have told me that you have messaged her privately to offer your support. I have too and she has been super sweet. But, as has happened to EVERY woman Sam has dated, no doubt Steph has also received many harassing and threatening messages. Remember when Sam's ex, Gia, posted publicly some of the messages she received from KNOWN SamCait shippers. A few of them went as far as calling her a "wh*re" and sending her de ath threats! Multiple threats. This is all well documented. So, sadly, I'm sure the same thing has happened to Steph.
3. By only allowing comments and not private messages, Steph only has to keep an eye on comments. And not both comments and private messages. She can delete any negative comments and block the haters.
4. By asking people who are interested in her professional services to email her instead, she has more control. And if she gets hate emailed to her, she can block the email address.
5. I love how she emphasizes that she wants her account to be a positive place.
Steph, proving once again how smart smart she is, but also how emotionally intelligent she is. Sam is indeed a lucky man. 💘
