so before smg4 dropped by in his guardian pod maryo was normal nintendo maryo ...
what if umm the blast that hit maryo that basically turned him dumb . like . split his brain into 3 sections (not literally obv) (i just dont know how to explain it better)
the front part would be dumb maryo + a little bit of his og personality (the part of his brain that is more . dominant basically)
and then the bsck part is smart maryo ... and the usb had created a sort of metaphorical barrier between the two . to like . keep maryo dumb
and every so often some of the smart maryo part sort of . seeps into the dumb part ? im not sure how to explain this HWJDHHWGWA
but to reset his brain back to its neutral 'dumb' state he just has to be around 4 nd stuff ... cause memes make him dumber lol am i making sense

O ALSO in the 'if mario was smart' video the machine basically just switched the parts of his brain around . and this time the dumb part of his brain was seeping into the smart part (hence the obsession with spaghetti)
Aaand the reason why he wasnt all powerful was because he hadnt realised the Full extent of his power yet. he was set back to normal before he could . ok . thank u for coming to my ted talk
imagine if like. when they finally defeat smart mario. Ng+ mario places a hand on fours shoulder, "leave the demon to his own misery, its up to him now to drag himself out of the pit he made." and they just. Silently leave "smart" mario. Leaving him to try and struggle to pick up his broken ego. His so-called "smartness" only made him think he was smart, and he still ended up being a dumbass.

I def feel like it’d go something like that! Maybe NG+ Mario asking Smart Mario if torturing everyone truly made him happy, or if he is just keeping himself stuck in an anger spiral because that’s easier to deal with.
A big part of Smart Mario is his ego that came along with his smartness, so it’d be fitting that defeating him would have something to do with crushing said ego somehow.
Truly letting it sink in for him that he no longer has any friends, he’s the sole survivor of a world he himself destroyed and is now stuck in one he clearly doesn’t belong in anymore.

thought abt smart mario again don’t worry i’m normal again, anyways did you know that the most consistent joke in the smg4 series is that mario ruins parties and events so he just doesn’t get invited to them anymore

yeah it’s finals week for me but like i’ve been thinking abt smart mario so just like ask me more abt him i’ve rounded out the concept a bit more now (i know exactly which one of you cares abt this and i’m making sure ur fed 4 the coming week where i probably won’t post at all)
i think we should get a smart mario arc or somethin like it he should be allowed to feel angry and sad i think we should see what powers an avatar can have. i think he should be allowed to chew four out about the mar10 stuff and and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
