Both services allow you to do small tasks, like surveys or postings, to earn points that you can put towards your student loan payments. They also offer opportunities to earn points on purchases when you online shop. I can vouch that they work - I’ve earned $40 on Gradible and $58.87 on SmarterBucks. It’s not a lot but can help make a monthly payment smaller and any extra payments help you pay off debt faster

I haven't qualified for a single survey on smarterbucks. it is kind of a site like gradible but I can't seem to make any money off of it.

I shared this on Facebook and I thought I'd post it here as well. SmarterBucks is one of my favourite things as a poor college student because they make automatic payments on my Parent Plus loan. I rent and buy my textbooks from Valore Books, their partner site, and they take a percentage of that money and put it towards repayment. I want to buy something online, I go to the SmarterBucks Marketplace, take the link to the store I want to shop at, and a percentage of what I spent (depending on the rate the store offers) goes towards repaying my loan. It's beautiful. Plus my friends and family who don't have loans of their own they want to pay off with this site can register as gifters and their rewards go to me. (I got a few dollars from my mum's Christmas shopping which was nice.) And if you have no money to spend on books or other things, they'll give you small amounts for completing surveys on their website. I haven't bothered doing any because I do enough online shopping. But hey, free money towards paying off your loans! How cool is that?

So my sister just told me about SmarterBucks. If you're familiar with online survey sites like MyPoints where you complete surveys and shop online to earn points toward rewards, it's exactly like that, except your points go directly toward your student loan payment every month. They also have a sell-back program where you can sell your used textbooks for additional credit, plus friends and family can gift you points they earn through their own SmarterBucks accounts. And you don't have to request a reward, as long as you have the minimum balance, SmarterBucks automatically sends a payment to your loan provider

With how shitty student loan providers are about deferments, consolidation, payment plans and interest these days (*cough*Sallie Mae*cough*) every little bit helps. And you're probably already shopping online - do it through SmarterBucks and get a little back toward your loan. Click on an email and do a survey, earn another couple bucks.
