This is a still-life I built and painted for my good buddy and co-worker Allan Dancer. Allan has a 48 year career as a teacher and I’ve had the pleasure of working with him for the last thirteen years. The boots represent Fridays, why Fridays you ask? Alan always wore boots on Fridays. The trumpet represents the instrument that inspired him originally and the smashed acoustic guitar represents the time we were on stage together. Every year, we organized a rock band and performed for the students.
