Naoko Takeuchi wrote a story and helped establish a show that displayed to the world that a large group of women with vast amounts of differences, can share common similarities, persevere, push through and never give up. That they can all work together, make a difference in each other and in the world without discarding anything that they are or that defines them.

Sailor Moon has the bows, the skirt, earrings, make-up, manicure and the flawless hair. Her group of friends represent everything feminine throughout the entire spectrum of femininity and they stand strong in the face of adversity, together as one.

The Sailor Guardians stay together even though all of them have been marginalized by society in some way or another. Sailor Moon teaches us that you don't have to be perfect to want to save the world, that you don't have to be masculine to be strong and that your will is more than enough to overcome adversity.

Sailor Moon teaches us that we all have a chance, that we all have a choice and a deep well of hidden, inner strength and that we can only lose if we choose to give up. And Sailor Moon never gives up so we shouldn't either.

So a double blue (full) moon event happened - and

we get a best selling manga volume drop/release in the weeks leading up to the event,

visuals for the new Sailor Moon the Miracle 4D ride at Universal practically while it's about to happen (whee lol) and

teaser voice reveals for Sailor Moon Sailor Star Lights in English very shortly after the event is over...

To all Sailor Moon fans:

I love you dearly.

That is all.

I'm saying this because I'm about to lose half my followers and fan base. A LOT of you are adults and as such occasionally post NSFW content.

I want you to know I have diligently weeded out all bots and reported spam over the years but kept real people even if you're an NSFW blogger who also happens to like Sailor Moon. I've done my part and my job as a blogger.

As long as you're not a bot (and I can easily tell the difference,) I feel that as a blogger it was my responsibility to work hard to make tumblr a better place by properly reporting and blocking blogs who were not real.

Tons of my own posts were wrongly labeled NSFW and I have submitted every one for review in hopes it helped tumblr's algorithms make better judgements - now to no avail. smcempathy is 100% a SFW blog and viewable by people of all ages.

All walks of life follow this blog, all ages, genders, orientations, religions, cultures and nationalities - from all corners of the globe because that's what Sailor Moon does - Sailor Moon breaks barriers and speaks to everyone on a soul level of understanding. Love wins is what I always say.

This blog will remain and I will continue to blog here but sadly it seems to a smaller fan base as tumblr takes a big hit with this next move.

As you know, Sailor Moon Crystal was aimed at an adult audience of people who grew up with the series. While the show itself is SFW, adult bloggers who are running personal (non-fandom blogs) might not be SFW.

(All episodes of Sailor Moon minus episodes 199 and 200 are rated for kids 14+. 199-200 is rated M for adults. All volumes of the Sailor Moon manga are SFW and available at any public library for all ages.)

I don't know what to say really. A lot of people who were following me were adults and it would be ashame to delete a chunk of the fan base since they are adults and tumblr used to be a platform of free expression and free speech for adults.

It's a great idea to advocate for a better and safer tumblr especially because there are minors on this site. Tumblr has always been a personal hell site for me. No offense to my youngest followers but I'm not even sure it's safe for you all to be on this site. smcempathy is fine but the rest of tumblr is iffy especially with the random bots that follow popular bloggers. You literally have to click on them to remove, block and report them. Maybe this move might make it a better place? Idk.

I feel like I'm rambling and I am. I came to tumblr because I felt I needed to be here. This blog is kind of an antithesis to some trends on tumblr at the time this blog was created. Out of all the chaos in the world sometimes people just need a little clarity, positivity and a chance to get away from it all - equipped with facts, sources and receipts.

Regardless I will continue finding the gems in the fandom and continue blogging here. You're always welcome at smcempathy even if you're logged off, don't forget to check out the archive. A little tid bit about Saturn

The reason why the "reborn" keeps being translated as "ribbon" in "death reborn revolution," Sailor Saturn's ultimate attack, is simply because "reborn and ribbon" sound almost the same, pronounced in Japanese dialect. Reborn and ribbon are phonetically similar in Japanese dialect.

So you may notice ribbons appearing in Saturn's attack, but her powers are not just about death. Death's a double-edged sword. Her powers are yes Death but also Rebirth.

You can't actually destroy energy in physics acording to the laws of energy. Since energy can't be out right destroyed, energy can only be transferred so that might help explain her power of rebirth a bit.

Her rebirth powers seem to work in synchronization with Super Sailor Moon's as evidenced by several lines in the manga and anime. Sailor Moon is the alleged Guardian of Mystery with invincible mysterious powers of rebirth.

Amazon went ahead and shipped the new Eternal Edition vol 2 last night, projected for a surpise early delivery one day before it's officially released. 😄

A yearly holiday tradition for me is to reread the Sailor Moon S manga, Princess Kaguya's Lover (the one the S Movie Hearts in Ice was adapted from,) the Sailor V manga and the manga side stories vol 1&2.

There's something about when it's cold and snowy outside and you're curled up warm and cozy inside reading the good stuff by Naoko Takeuchi. The rare old good stuff only a few have discovered.
