At Lincoln Park Zoo there’s ponies named Mr. Burns and Mr. Smithers??? And they frolic around???? I can just. Go there. I can just go there and see Smithers Real Life. He is real and he is a pony. (Burns is also real and also a pony)
I MUST FIND HIM.
I’m sure everyone autistic enough to be posting about smeebs already knows that he’s based on this real guy but this is a perfect description of exactly why I love him. It is difficult to put it into words so it is glorious to have a thing to point at and go ‘THIS.’ Plus basically all of it seems to be disregarded in later seasons hence we get this friendly guy in a situation he hates. Like no you do not understand that this basis is what his character stands upon and when you stray from it you’ve written a different character.
