our ukrainian literature teacher is telling us about the executed renaissance (розстріляне відродження) and my blood runs cold as I'm listening to all these terrible things soviet union did to ukrainian artists. they literally slaughtered all of teh ukrainian artists who wouldn't create propagandistic artworks. sent them to gulags, psychologically (and probably not only psychologically) tortured them there. it's so fucking horrible I just can't put it into words. and all those westerns who glorify soviet union can go to hell. my people suffered for centuries AND YOU ROMANTICISE THE OPPRESSOR WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING A HALF OF THE HORRIBLE THINGS THEY DID

post 1 from the exhibitions we've visited yesterday. we went to shevchenko's museum first and his works are GEN amazing. I mean his techniques seem to be perfected in EVERY medium he worked with. what a fucking amazing artist

he worked with many materials including ink (the artwork above was said to be done in ink), etching, sepia, watercolors, oil paints and graphite pencils

loved these ones because hell yeah bro, I love drawing backs too, ur so real fpr that

the last one is sepia & graphite pencil (I don't remember what the others were created with tho. probably sepia n pencil too)

I also loved his sketches because they have this peculiarity we call a "soul" or how I personally call it "a character". they give you some strong strong vibes as you look at them. maybe it's related to pencil strokes aligned in a certain way

these are not all artworks I've been amazed with so I'll write a continuation rn

okay tongue piercing day 3. OMG I'M SO FUCKING HUNGRY FOR NORMAL FOOD I MEAN all I can eat now is something more or less liquid and I fucking long for normal food already. tried to eat a salad but can't properly use my tongue so meh. also IT FUCKING HURTS. maybe because salad damaged the piercing or smth. which could happen actually but I wanted to eat normal food so much that I just ignored the fact that it's gonna b like this. either way. I'm now going to get some food which I won't have to chew on

I haven't done any makeups just to have fun for a while. and this one is not my best one so far (but I'm not into makeups like professionally I don't even do them often) but shit why not. inspired by emily autumn's album cover
