Book a trip - the Tour or holiday in Chile
Patagonia, the very name conjures images of dramatic, impressive mountain peaks rising out of an open, barren landscape. In view of this almost mythical region covering southern vast both Argentina and Chile, it is of little surprise that there are many trekking opportunities for the visitor. No doubt some of the areas most famous tracks are in the world famous Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. "W" route starts after a short boat trip to Lago Grey refuge and camping. Here, it is advisable to pitch your tent or leave any surplus equipment in the sanctuary before an easy day hike to a vantage point looking towards the icy facade Glacier Grey. It can be difficult to fully appreciate the size of this glacier, which forms part of the Southern Patagonian Ice-field, but if you take the time to marvel at this natural wonder, you will probably see a sight-seeing boat overshadowed by glaciers, towering pillars of blue ice. If time permits, we recommend that you keep about three hours past the point of view to Campamento Paso, where you will be rewarded with magnificent views looking across the ice field towards the distant mountain peaks. Retrace your steps to return to Lago Grey haven where you can spend the night sleeping next to a glacial fed lake, complete with floating icebergs. The next day begins with a steady walk along Lago Grey as you head toward Lake Peho?. If you're lucky, it will often state-hugging clouds clear to give you a nice view of the jagged heights of the surrounding Paine Grande Mountain Range, dominates the landscape with a grandeur that far exceeds their height. When will Peho? refuge and camping, trail supports double on itself and you will soon be rewarded with a view of the complexity of the massif in Cuernos del Paine, a land-mass as a symbol of the Antarctic region. These are the stereotypical Patagonia peaks have been reproduced in newspapers and books worldwide. The trail continues on to the range, alongside the picturesque Lake Skottsberg, was on a rare still days Cuernos del Paine can be seen reflected in the crystal clear waters of the lake. When reach Campamento Italiano, is a worthwhile detour to head down the Valle del Frances for a spectacular view of Cuernos del Paine and Paine Grande area. Alternatively, continue on the main track, which is a gentle walk against the azure colored Lago Nordenskj? Ld and refuge and camping at Los Cuernos. The pen-ultimate stretch of road will continue to monitor the length of Lake Nordenskj ld, with the track undulating across a sun-drenched land mass is typical of the Patagonian steppe, sandwiched between Torres supply and lake?. The surreal form of Almirante Nieto dominates the skyline as track follows the contour of the massif before he came Valle Ascencio. Now the landscape and the terrain begins to dramatically change the route slowly begins to rise towards the Torres del Paine finally reach chileno Refuge and camping. The last day of the walk is both the most challenging and most rewarding. It should not be conducted in inclement weather or during winter months. It is recommended that extra days are taken into account when planning your trip so you can wait chileno more favorable weather conditions. When you leave chileno track climbs sharply from Ascensio river until it finally rises above the tree line and in an open hilly landscape. Now the route is becoming somewhat more of an endurance test that vast giant blocks must be navigated and climbed to reach a small pond in the eastern facade of the Torres del Paine. From here the views of Torres and the surrounding landscape of Patagonia is unsurpassed. Torres is very impressive granite towers that seem to almost pierce the skyline, 2800 meter high towers dramatically risen from behind a small alpine lake. After allowing some time to immerse themselves in the environment, it is a steady decline, finally after Ascensio river until you reach the Hosteria Las Torres and the end of your Patagonia adventure.
