she knocks on the armory doorframe
@smilekitty-lharper
Roy looked up from the arrows he was making and smiled. “Hey, pumpkin.”
[backdated to Monday]
Roy was nervous about it, more so than he’d ever been in his life. But she had her backpack with her supplies, she knew to listen to her teacher, and Lian seemed ready for school.
Even so he parked the truck in the parking lot and glanced at John first, then at her. “You remember the rules—listen to your teachers and no cussing in either language.”

"Daddy I'm ready for archery!"
she was dressed in her speedy costume anf ready to go. though she was assuming shed only get to watch her dad so she left the bow she was gifted behind in her room
@smilekitty-lharper
Roy was all smiles when he saw her even if she was growing up so fast that pretty soon they’d have to upgrade the costume. Maybe it would be something she and her mother could do together?
“Where’s your bow, Speedy?” Roy asked. He’d made her some blunter arrows to go with it, and was ready to show her a little more as he did every time. It would be easier for her to learn on her personal bow now than a rental, more consistent.
Maybe she was too young, but he’d started around her age.
Lian still knocked on the door when she got to Roy's place. She was wearing all black and athletic clothes ready to sleep in them while also being discreet and quiet when leaving her old home.
When he answered the door he was relieved to see she was alone, having worried Jade might still find out. “You dressed smart,” he told her. “You're used to being on the move?” He hoped Jade had given her some stability growing up, but he was starting to doubt it.
hey dad, ready for patrol?
@smilekitty-lharper
“Absolutely,” he told her, checking his guns one more time. “Are you?” he teased. Truth be told, he never got tired of being out there with her. Most nights were boring, but when they were eventful she held her own with the best of them.
