“we’re going to grow old together,” she said, “we’re going to live the rest of our lives together. and nothing is going to happen. not in this battle, not the next. and once this war is finally over, we will live those days in peace. and you will never worry, not for a second about anything happening to me. because our lives will be so boring we might have to sneak out and fight bandits just to break the routine.”
