Just read Buried Beneath and I love how mischievous and demanding you wrote Elain to be 🤭 She's got Eris in the palm of her hand like a siren during that bathtub scene..... It's exactly the type of slightly ominous and quietly menacing vibe that I wish sjm went with when she made Elain a seer. Like let her be the prettiest creepiest girl she was meant to be!

Not sure if this was intended in your writing or if it's just my interpretation but I like how Eris seems to almost got scammed(? lol) by reader & elain in the sense that he thought they were two clueless harmless omegas going in heat and let them use his bedroom without ever thinking they'd try to rope him in to joining them. Like he probably thought these two were in serious trouble and would barely have the mind to think about anything else other than getting safety, but the girls just end up giggling and scheming to have a fun time once the immediate danger is gone. Kinda felt like an older more experienced alpha being exasperated by the whims and eagerness of younger omegas loll

Just having Elain who's usually portrayed as the "soft" one and Eris who's usually portrayed as the dominating one have reversed dynamics was so good 🙏🙏 And I also personally just love fmf smut where the girls are in loveeeeeeeee and the guy is just there for the ride (figuratively and literally) lmfao

I was like…the tiniest bit underwhelmed with how few people seemed to like Buried Beneath (I do also frequently forget that there are—quite a lot of—people who are just not attracted to women, so this tends to happen more with my sapphic fics lmao) because hey I don’t write 9k of smut if I’m not 100% into it so it is just sometimes a shock of cold water to the face so thank you 🧡💛 it’s such a reward getting hear your enjoyment

Yes!!! I love writing Elain as soft and sweet but I also love making her a little more mischievous! I think throughout the fic she has more of a leading role? Being the one to argue with Eris to make sure they would be safe in his chambers, then also being the one to suggest inviting him and walking naked into the washroom. I also had a ton of fun writing her as a little more promiscuous(?) that usual? Being a little more bold with her flirting, which I don’t think I usually do but had so much fun with in that fic 😂

Haha I do love the dynamic between Elain and reader, and Eris. It makes me so happy that you read it the same way! I did want to make Eris a little bit grumpier(?) since I imagine he has a lot of work on his hands so then realising two omegas are about to go into heat on his doorstep and having to suddenly manage that wouldn’t put one in the best mood 😅

Oh and yeah! I was a little unsure actually about having Eris take on a more subdued role? But at the same time I had a lot of fun as writing him to be—like you said—kind of this older more experienced character having the life shoved back into him when the two omegas crash into him like a whirlwind who are still filled with all their vigour and curiosity haha
