Brew #242: White Gypsy Old Smoke Stout
ABV: 5.4%
Served: Off the shelf
Aroma: Bog, mild malt toffee, chocolate
Pour: Deep black with a finger of light tan froth
Taste: Smooth smoky peat warmth on the wash, it’s all earth and turf with some light chocolate in there too. Low carbonation and a faint warm pinch at the finish. Caramel and spice on the aftertaste. This is an exemplary stout, the spice is like a fresh hit under hooking the smoke, feck me this is lovely altogether.
Notes: 500ml bottle, malts - Hookhead, Dark Munich, Carafa, Smoked, hops - Polaris, ale yeast.
