I got the chance to play with watercolors and I painted a sunrise on the horizon. Here’s the final product.

Here is the PLF meeting table:

There is one empty chair as seen next to Re-Destro. Since this scene happens right around the time Shigaraki starts his surgery, and assuming Geten is in the seat Hawks is blocking, that empty chair is Shigaraki’s.

Now you may ask why Shigaraki would want to sit next to Re-Destro of all people? However, the answer of Shigaraki’s placement at the table has nothing to do with Re-Destro, but is instead influenced by where someone else is sitting.

Take a look across the table from Shigaraki’s seat and who do you see?

Spinner.

Sitting directly in the center of Shigaraki’s hypothetical field of vision. Shigaraki chose that seat for the sole purpose of having the excuse to stare at his scaley boyfriend and not pay attention to anything else. Who cares if Re-Destro is acting obnoxious when Shigaraki can just tune him out while admiring Spinner.

TLDR: Shigaraki chose his seat specifically so he could look at Spinner. Spinaraki confirmed.

I came up with this idea for a story based around the Shimura family rising from the dead and having a confrontation with both sides of Nana’s legacy about a week ago, and I’m in the process of turning it into a full-length fic. Unfortunately, there’s no way I’m gonna be able to finish it in time for spooky month. But for the sake of Halloween, I thought it would be nice to share the general idea I’ve got down for the plot. So without further ado, here’s the WIP summary for what I’m gonna call Spooky Scary Shimuras:

(Spoilers for the general plot and story beats)

A house in a well-to-do neighborhood in Musutafu has been rebuilt from the crater left behind a little over a decade ago. The family that moved in has a little boy who manifests his quirk on Halloween: Arise. It allows him to bring lost souls who died in the area back to the earthly plane so that they have a chance to seek closure and finally pass on. Guess who gets hit with it?

All Might and the Wonder Duo are in the area because they were escorting kids  going trick or treating that night and are walking home when a family of ghosts are resurrected, so they are the first on the scene to investigate. They learn from the ghost family about the events that led to their deaths fairly quickly, and of the remorse they feel at letting everything get to that point of no return. All Might and company are willing to try to help them reunite with the missing member, Tenko, so the family can apologize for their actions and finally pass on knowing that they were able to do right by the child for once.

There’s just one problem: while the family knows their relationships to each other, their past, and their first names, they collectively can’t remember their shared last name. So it becomes a mystery of trying to find that last bit of information needed to start the search for Tenko’s current whereabouts by piecing it together from what they can remember of when they were alive.

At the same time as this search into the name is happening, the League of Villains are using Halloween as an excuse to make mischief, and have been committing various acts of vandalism around Japan, with Musutafu as the next target. Soon enough, they happen upon a road that Tomura is strangely familiar with, and when he ends up recognizing his former neighborhood he gets an idea: to investigate his old house and see it’s state after 15 years. Is it still a crater or did it get rebuilt? And if it was rebuilt, has it been abandoned due to it’s dark history? The rest of the league is mostly onboard if only for the fact that if there’s an abandoned house in that spot, they could explore a genuine haunted house!

What will happen when the ghost family finally rediscovers their last name? How will they react when they learn about the connections between them, All Might, and his successors? And most importantly, what will happen when all of them finally encounter the last surviving Shimura?

Who are your favourite members of the league of villains???

Oh no where do I start?!

I really enjoy the dynamic between the league as a whole, it’s why I enjoyed the My Villain Academia arc. But if I had to choose favorites, my top four are Toga, Twice, Spinner, and Shigaraki, with Shigaraki at the top.

I like their backstories (sorry Mr. Compress, you’ll get one eventually) and how they clearly care about each other (Dabi I’m looking at you). Toga and Twice always look out for each other, Spinner is set on supporting Shigaraki however he can, and Shigaraki’s only limit to his destruction are the things his friends like (and it subtly shows that he never truly lost that empathy he had for the people who were left out).

Overall, these guys are my favorites because they’re the ones that manifest the my favorite trope (found family) the most, and I’m excited to see what they do next.
