I have so many tests this week and next week i have finals and this is my first time having finals!! Im really stressed :( do you have any advice??
Just write a list down of all the dates the finals are on - even the hour - and then break down each subject, and what you need to know. Know that, when you enter that examination hall, you have done your best job preparing, and your best is literally you can do. You have worked hard regardless of what you might think, and realize that if you don’t know something by then, then you won’t know it, and maybe that thing you haven’t memorized won’t really count for much in the grand scheme of things. A test is just a test - what counts is your effort and ability to learn and apply that knowledge, more than the actual grade. Yes yes I know you need to actually pass the course to progress academically, but the more valued skill in life is the ability to learn.
Listen to some chillout-music. Calm yourself. Eat your favourite food(s) before doing the exam. Wear comfy/your favourite clothing. Avoid any last-minute quizzing with peers or yourself because honestly that’s what always stressed me out the most - when groups of students would just stand around impatiently waiting for the exam room to open, aggressively quizzing each other for last minute details. That’ll just frazzle you up.
Also - remember - the best way to study is in small increments over a long period of time, and to say things out loud, explaining them in your own words, and attaching personal and powerful examples to each bit of information. Information lasts 4X as long when it’s auditory rather than graphic (i.e you saying it will make you remember it better than just staring at it in a book). It might be too late to employ this method of studying now, but keep it in mind for next time!
