i love how g/t fans (including me) have collectively agreed that borrowers Being Seen(tm) instantly means Jar Time Fearplay Torment <Evil Laughter> etc etc.

when in actuality if 99% of humans saw some kind of tiny person in their house they'd probably be like "Uh... who are you? What are you? No don't run, I mean you no harm"

Honestly, I think far more than a healthy amount about the idea of a depressed tiny who, for whatever reason, tries to engage in some kind of giant-assisted Ending It (a borrower exposing themself, somebody in a mixed-size world intentionally walking into the giant-only walkway, so on and so forth)

Only for the giant to react with extreme repulsion to the idea. Instead, the giant decides to take the tiny away from their old miserable life and spoils them and takes care of all of their needs.

This probably says nothing about my own mental health and struggles with depression. not at all. don't read into it. stop.

Concept: Tiny who acts like they are in a macro story and keeps trying to get into Zesty Situations(tm), and a giant who acts like an actual rational human who is like "Oh my gods what are you doing you could get yourself hurt or worse."

(In the end they end up together. They compromise with roleplay.)

so like... that last post now has me going down a rabbit hole trying to find the UK dub of arrietty, which i've heard is vastly superior to the kinda garbage US dub

i've found definitely legitimate copies of the US dub... but no luck with the UK one. so i figured i'd maybe shoot my shot and ask around on the only place that is equally mentally unwell about the borrowers

so... anybody maybe know?

i really need to solidify patch's scars

i know what scars he has and GENERALLY where they are but i need to actually figure out what they look like and stuff

but that involves researching scar tissues. and i don't know how much i want to do that.

What slang words do you know?

I know all of the slang words, like uh, uh, "cool" and "sick" and others.

But nah you gotta be more specific lol. I don't know most of the newfangled words (mostly AAVE admittedly) that have become meme words thanks to tiktok and instagram since I don't have either.

But I'm not completely cooked yet, I can be hip and with it. I too am so on the go that I drink my yogurt from a tube.
