When I was really young (probably 3rd grade) I sat next to this girl, Samantha, in music class. It was the first day, and I kept poking her and smiling trying to get her attention, and she eventually told the teacher on me and I got in trouble. Later, i brought it up to apologize as a way to start a conversation and we became close "friends". She moved away at the end of the year and I cried. I was so #gay for her (and little me had no idea haha)

its perfectly acceptable! Just because someone else is mentally ill doesn't mean your mental exhaustion caused by them is ableist or anything like that!!
