Well I think it looks great!
I thought the shield idea was really cliché in the security domain, but it’s still a great idea, I don’t think there’s another great icon for the idea of protection...
So I really wanted to avoid 90s software metal effects, also I thought the curve of the shield should be sturdy, simple, essential. I tried to give it a flat design kind of vibe with that clear cut, diagonal shadow. I think it looks smooth.
