Taste the liquid butter as Nashville-based pop trio MILKK lubricate our ears with their delectably smooth new cut, Ride. “Let me take you for a ride, out into the night,” they coo on their shimmery pop and sensual R&B single. I’m ready, if you are. But I’m not sure the night is ready for this plush R&B pop heater, with its lush grooving, flushed simmering nocturnal backdrop. Ride follows on MILKK’s latest single All To Myself last month, their first release since debut album HEADRUSH. You can stream the track below. One of our favorite bands from Montreal, Men I Trust, is back with a new one after teasing us with its arrival for quite a few weeks. I was so excited over Seven that I kept checking their socials everyday in hopes that the trio would drop the new single for the past while. Well, today, it’s finally happened! To be honest, we were afforded an early preview yesterday, so I’ve been jamming out to Seven plentifully for the past day or so already. We trust in Men I Trust when it comes to hazy grooving bliss, which is exactly what they offer up on Seven, a languorously washed out, cottony shimmering breeze of a jam whose video captures their visual aesthetic to the tee. Much vintage charm abounds in the clip, featuring their trademark bucolic charm and their lyrical subtitles, though in white this time instead of yellow. Chiffon and feathery like a woozy daydream, Seven affords us a leisurely reprieve from the chaos of the hustle and bustle of daily life.
