After spending a decent amount of time in the bathroom and getting himself cleaned up, the god roamed the house. Looking to see if anything else had changed since he had been gone. Heading to the kitchen to grab a much needed drink after what he’d been through. Plus, a little bit of liquid courage never hurt.
Mostly, Walter Manor was the same. The only thing that had changed was the absence of a certain Walter Worker, and with her absence, everything just seemed more... Dull. It was like the life and color of the place had drained, leaving it quiet and and gloomy. And that was easy to sense when wandering those labyrinth-like hallways.
No one seemed to be around, really. Not like they used to. No one running through the manor, laughing. No busy chattering. It was just... Quiet. People kept to themselves, trying to cope to the best of their abilities. This included a certain, titanium automaton.
The Spine would mostly stay in his room. And if not in his room, he was down by the vaults, checking on Alyssa. He didn’t really have energy for much. But he did make trips from his room to the kitchen to get some tea, or oil. This day was no exception. He was slowly making his way towards the kitchen, an empty mug in one hand.
Once he rounded the corner, entering the kitchen, his body came to a full halt, emerald eyes widening. The last thing he had counted on seeing was.... Him. Standing in his kitchen. He was dead silent, didn’t even blink as that mug kind of just... Slid out of his hand, shattering on the floor as he himself just looked at him, dumbfounded. No... That couldn’t be... He’d been gone for half a year. He’d left, right? He couldn’t be there.. It was his imagination.. Right..? Like so many times before...
He slowly brought a hand up to cover his mouth, lowering his head slightly, the brim of his fedora covering his eyes. What... Was this..?
