Double-Decker S’more: I’m back with another video review! I found 2 great s’mores items at the Minnesota State Fair over Labor Day Weekend! This s’more was so gooey and delicious! When I got to the hut the s’more was already prepared and wrapped up. They pulled it out of what looked like a little toaster oven. This extra element of heat made the chocolate more melty than usual and added an interesting dimension to the crackers. I loved this treat! Though it was a bit of a messy one. Yankee Candle Campfire Treat Candle: This product is not strictly speaking s’mores, but it pretty clearly invokes s’mores elements so I’ve decided it counts. I like this candle, but wish the wick had been longer so I could better enjoy it. It’s a little candle, and not overly aromatic, which I appreciate. I’m not a big candle user, so this was a good size for me. Smell is towards the bottom on the list of my top 5 favorite senses, but I enjoyed the experience of this product. It had a light, sweet smell that did remind me somewhat of marshmallows. What really makes this product different though was that, unlike many that I review, it had an open flame. S’more by Sharon (@sharoncho): Wow! What a treat it was to be surprised at a club meeting by Sharon walking in with trays of these super cute and very tasty s’mores! A cinnamon graham cracker base was a unique and strong foundation that really supported this snack. The marshmallow was the optimal level of gooey and the Hershey’s Kiss on top was soft and melted in my mouth. Thank you Sharon for sharing this with everyone, we all enjoyed. It’s S’more Fun Being with You Socks: I found these socks at a Joann Fabrics earlier this summer. They were only a few dollars, so I had to pick them up. These are quite stretchy and comfortable. While the play on words is cute and the message is sweet, I don’t think this product fulfills the requirements to be s’mores. There is no graham cracker element involved, which is disappointing. S’mores Duck Tape Duct Tape: I love this product! Thank you so much to @megan_barksdale and @sharoncho who both gifted it to me. Sorry it took me so long to use your gifts and that the page as been so quiet recently. Things will be picking up again now. Plus, we’re only 9 days from National S’mores Day! On to the review though!! I had two rolls of this tape and for the longest time couldn’t decide how to use it. It recently came to my attention that I needed luggage tags and then an idea was born! The tape itself is very high quality. I love the pattern. It is a collage of s’mores ingredients, and while they are not fully stacked s’mores, I think this is actually better. Each of the pieces can be seen better this way than if they were true sandwiches. The width of the tape also lends itself to this pattern. I LOVE that some of the marshmallows have a toasted look. The details are great. It is also sufficiently sticky, just like a s’more. I had no trouble getting pieces to stay together to form my tags. For those, I wrote my information on a small piece of cardboard and then covered with a square piece of a plastic sheet protect to prevent against rain damage. Maybe somewhere down the line I can create a full tutorial for the tags! I’m really excited to use them. They’ll make any bag stand out at the luggage carousel! I do still have plenty of tape left though. Thelma’s S’mores Ice Cream Sandwich: I found this in Cub grocery in Minnesota. I thought the use of two cookies was smart. I don’t know that it was completely effective though and adding all of necessary s’mores flavors. I could not find a specific designation of the flavors of each on the package, but to me they seemed to be chocolate chocolate chip and chocolate chip. Independently, each cookie was really good!The ice cream certainly had hints of marshmallow. I was missing a distinct graham cracker flavor. Visually this was very representative of s’mores and I thought the cookies provided an appropriate amount crunch. This was fresh, cute, and tasty! Not overwhelming s’mores vibes, but definitely a great treat. Post Shredded Wheat Frosted S’mores Bites: The cereal sector of s’mores flavored items has generally performed well, but I’m sad to say these bites broke that pattern. Neither the texture nor flavor was satisfying for me. I tried a few out of the box and then attempted to eat a bowl with milk. There were some hints of s’more, but it was so dry. I would have liked more chocolate and marshmallow. I ended up passing these along to someone who enjoys shredded wheat much more than I do.
