Harry London S’mores Snack Mix: I’ve been munching on these for too long to not have reviewed them yet. Found at Costco, these are a perfect little treat! Pieces of graham and mini marshmallows covered in milk chocolate. I love these! They’re pretty filling and rich, so even just a small handful can be satisfying. Double-Decker S’more: I’m back with another video review! I found 2 great s’mores items at the Minnesota State Fair over Labor Day Weekend! This s’more was so gooey and delicious! When I got to the hut the s’more was already prepared and wrapped up. They pulled it out of what looked like a little toaster oven. This extra element of heat made the chocolate more melty than usual and added an interesting dimension to the crackers. I loved this treat! Though it was a bit of a messy one. Campfire Crunch Rice Kristie Bar: Last weekend I had the great pleasure of attending the Minnesota State Fair. I had so much great food there, but one of the highlights was this jumbo sized, s’mores inspired cereal treat. (All my followers who also enjoy Food Network baking shows will know the proper, non-copyright infringing name for these snacks is cereal treat. 😘) I loved this bar! With a mix of Golden Grahams and Rice Krispies there was no lack of crunch, something often lost. I also appreciated the use of both regular and mini sized chocolate chips. Yankee Candle Campfire Treat Candle: This product is not strictly speaking s’mores, but it pretty clearly invokes s’mores elements so I’ve decided it counts. I like this candle, but wish the wick had been longer so I could better enjoy it. It’s a little candle, and not overly aromatic, which I appreciate. I’m not a big candle user, so this was a good size for me. Smell is towards the bottom on the list of my top 5 favorite senses, but I enjoyed the experience of this product. It had a light, sweet smell that did remind me somewhat of marshmallows. What really makes this product different though was that, unlike many that I review, it had an open flame. S’more by Sharon (@sharoncho): Wow! What a treat it was to be surprised at a club meeting by Sharon walking in with trays of these super cute and very tasty s’mores! A cinnamon graham cracker base was a unique and strong foundation that really supported this snack. The marshmallow was the optimal level of gooey and the Hershey’s Kiss on top was soft and melted in my mouth. Thank you Sharon for sharing this with everyone, we all enjoyed. Zombie S’mores Milkshake: I tried this at a zombie themed restaurant in Des Moines. A really cool place with some unique menu items for sure! I wasn’t crazy about this, but I did enjoy it. There was plenty of chocolate and the marshmallow was certainly present in taste, but not so much in texture. The graham cracker was unfortunately the weakest of the big 3 elements and it showed. The bits of cracker were so small and so soggy from being mixed into the thick shake that there was no crunch at all. It’s S’more Fun Being with You Socks: I found these socks at a Joann Fabrics earlier this summer. They were only a few dollars, so I had to pick them up. These are quite stretchy and comfortable. While the play on words is cute and the message is sweet, I don’t think this product fulfills the requirements to be s’mores. There is no graham cracker element involved, which is disappointing. S’mores Duck Tape Duct Tape: I love this product! Thank you so much to @megan_barksdale and @sharoncho who both gifted it to me. Sorry it took me so long to use your gifts and that the page as been so quiet recently. Things will be picking up again now. Plus, we’re only 9 days from National S’mores Day! On to the review though!! I had two rolls of this tape and for the longest time couldn’t decide how to use it. It recently came to my attention that I needed luggage tags and then an idea was born! The tape itself is very high quality. I love the pattern. It is a collage of s’mores ingredients, and while they are not fully stacked s’mores, I think this is actually better. Each of the pieces can be seen better this way than if they were true sandwiches. The width of the tape also lends itself to this pattern. I LOVE that some of the marshmallows have a toasted look. The details are great. It is also sufficiently sticky, just like a s’more. I had no trouble getting pieces to stay together to form my tags. For those, I wrote my information on a small piece of cardboard and then covered with a square piece of a plastic sheet protect to prevent against rain damage. Maybe somewhere down the line I can create a full tutorial for the tags! I’m really excited to use them. They’ll make any bag stand out at the luggage carousel! I do still have plenty of tape left though. Thelma’s S’mores Ice Cream Sandwich: I found this in Cub grocery in Minnesota. I thought the use of two cookies was smart. I don’t know that it was completely effective though and adding all of necessary s’mores flavors. I could not find a specific designation of the flavors of each on the package, but to me they seemed to be chocolate chocolate chip and chocolate chip. Independently, each cookie was really good!The ice cream certainly had hints of marshmallow. I was missing a distinct graham cracker flavor. Visually this was very representative of s’mores and I thought the cookies provided an appropriate amount crunch. This was fresh, cute, and tasty! Not overwhelming s’mores vibes, but definitely a great treat. Post Shredded Wheat Frosted S’mores Bites: The cereal sector of s’mores flavored items has generally performed well, but I’m sad to say these bites broke that pattern. Neither the texture nor flavor was satisfying for me. I tried a few out of the box and then attempted to eat a bowl with milk. There were some hints of s’more, but it was so dry. I would have liked more chocolate and marshmallow. I ended up passing these along to someone who enjoys shredded wheat much more than I do. The S’mores Blizzard is back and so is this blog! After a bit of an extended Spring Break, I am happy to say The S’more You Know is back just in time to review all the best s’mores treats for summer! Let’s get to it!! Dairy Queen S’mores Blizzard: SO happy this is back! I tried it early in my s’mores loving career, but well before The S’more You Know existed. It’s been off the menu for the last couple of summers, but it’s back and better than ever. The ice cream is great (and thick enough to be served upside down as promised)! There is a wonderful amount of marshmallow flavor throughout the ice cream that marries well with the graham cracker chunks. The mini chocolate bars filled with marshmallow add a sweetness and crunch that does not go unappreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend trying this one out. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Caramel S’more on a Stick: I tried this a couple of weeks ago at the store in Mall of America. This was almost the quintessential s’more, but a few small changes helped to differentiate it. The addition of caramel was interesting. I didn’t mind it, but it also didn’t change my world. I think the fact that everything was generally less gooey than a typical s’more made this less exciting. The chocolate coating successfully avoided being over powering, so that’s a plus. Halo Top S'mores Ice Cream: This was my first experience eating healthy/protein packed ice cream. I don't know if that played a role in my ultimate judgement, but it is a possibility. I wasn't very excited about this item. My main objection here was that it really was not s'mores. The base ice cream was, to me, vanilla (which is not a flavor in a s'more) with lots of little graham cracker swirled throughout. It was basically dust though, so not a lot of texture. On top of not having chocolate ice cream, the chocolate mixed in was difficult to find. A tiny shaving of chocolate in every fifth bite is basically pointless. Happy birthday The S’more You Know!! Today is the 1 year anniversary of the first review being posted to this page! Today’s review is of this embroidered S’more You Know logo. I made it, so I might be a bit biased, but wow, it’s awesome. The subtle brown threads work well together and capture the spirit of the s’more elements, while the gold makes it pop. The imperfect detail work adds character and pays homage to the messiness and unique nature of true s’mores. More seriously though, I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported me, my s’mores love, and this account. I can’t believe how much it has grown! S’mores Hot Chocolate: I’m not totally sure what brand this is, but whoever they are they make good hot chocolate in K Cup serving sizes! I found this is the lobby of my dentist’s office yesterday ((shoutout to Dr. Schaller)). The taste was sweet with subtle hints of melted marshmallow.
