Well I'm Jewish, so gimme the Tevye! (And/or the Wiki, your call.)
Oh wait, there was supposed to be a question. Uh, just general reading pls.
I’m awful at general readings (so broad!) but let’s try both and see what comes up :)
From Tevye, pg 67:
I said it half-jokingly, half in anger, as my heart was breaking. But Tevye is not a woman. Tevye kept it inside himself.
This passage comes towards the end of the story where Hodl leaves - of course, the entire book is one tragedy after another for Tevye, but this is probably one of the worst of them. She keeps unintentionally destroying him, but no matter what, Tevye can’t let his emotions get to him. He even ends the story with a joke (one of my favorites so far!).
So my interpretation is seeing you as being in a similar situation - maybe it’s not as huge a tragedy as losing your daughter, but things haven’t been going too well in one way or another. That said, you’ve been doing a great job of keeping yourself together. No matter what hits you, you’re resilient and power through, even if it seems like you don’t/can’t.
As for the wiki, it kept leading me to the tiniest of articles, like, less than a page long. And yet, surprisingly, none of them were marked with the little “This article is a stub” banner that most short articles get.
So instead of scrapping the idea, I’m gonna take it as part of the reading and say whatever negative things currently going on in your life are caused by a shortage of something - information, support maybe, or some other resource. But even so... it’s okay! Just like these aren’t articles begging for information to be added, you’re making due and finding self-sufficiency in what you have and what you’re capable of. Which is such a great skill to have!
