MANILA: Philippine customs seized 6,000 sacks of smuggled rice from a private port in Tungawan, Zamboanga, Sibugay around 2 a.m. Monday.

According to the Information Office of the BOC, the sacks of rice was inside M/L Tawi Tawi Princess.

Each sack contains 25 kilos of rice. Authorities believed that the rice came from Malaysia and entered the country via Sulu.Investigation is ongoing to identify…
