Has your own interpretation changed from when you first started playing the character?
Yes, and honestly, I'm not sure that's a good thing. He's become a lot softer than I ever intended him to be, but given how few threads I've actually had with him, that shouldn't be too difficult to fix. Other than that, the only other major change ame in the form of my headcanon that he suffers from asperger's syndrome -- but even then that wasn't so much a change in portrayal as I'd already been writing him that way.
Has new canon material ever forced you to adjust your headcanons?
...Yes. Sort of. In a sense. I mean, very little Garen-related canon stuff has come out, and it's been good and bad. The whole implication of a violently patriarchical society in Fiora's lore very nearly killed my drive to play him at all since I didn't and still don't feel up to writing Garen as a mysoginistic asshole. But, I've since worked around that, and found a manner in which I am comfortable playing him as close to canon as I can, but don't have to play him like that.
What do you wish the author would reveal/had revealed about your muse?
At this point I'll honestly settle for anything that doesn’t relate to Garen/Katarina. With the hints towards his personality that have peeked in from the Taric rework, it's comforting to know that they're writing him as duty-bound as I would. Even close friends aren't safe from his devotion to Demacia. >u>
