⌗ ⌗ showing you how to rev up a motorcycle …✧.*
“you know those are super dangerous, right?”
Leon’s head didn’t perk up at the sound of your voice, he had heard you walking up to him from afar. all his senses were sharpened to perfection after years of being a DSO agent.
you were a relatively newer DSO agent. a bit younger than most, but you had refined skills and were more than capable. your first mission ever had been with Leon, he was very helpful in navigating you through how a mission usually worked. he explained everything with practiced ease that told you he’d gone through the motions of teaching rookies hundreds of times.
however, something about you made everything a little different. the way you held yourself, you’re impressive skills, the fact that Leon actually felt like he had a partner in a mission rather than a liability. it almost made him forget the reason he preferred doing solo missions.
a few months had passed since then, and an easy friendship grew between you two. you couldn’t lie to yourself and say you weren’t hoping something would happen, but you couldn’t deny how easy it felt to talk to him. even if he was a little dense to talk to sometimes.
Leon was just leaving work when you had also left the building, you were heading to your car, you had a fun evening planned. you and your roommate were going to watch this new movie. but something caught your attention in the corner of your eye. Leon’s silver hair almost glowing in the night as he mounted his motorcycle across the parking lot.
the parking lot was empty aside from you both, wow. you had actually stayed late enough at work to be leaving the same time as Leon, now that was an achievement. that man lived and breathed work it seemed.
‘I thought he drove a Porsche…since when does he have a motorcycle?’
‘should someone his age even be riding one?’
‘well he’s not THAT old…’
curious thoughts spun through head, quickly derailing your mental routine which was,,,
get in car. drive home. eat. watch movie. sleep.
but now morphed into,,,
go bother Leon about his motorcycle.
you shook your head with disbelief as you walked over, eyes trailing over the motorcycle, by association they traveled to Leon’s strong thighs that were resting on the seat. he looked good…he always looked good, it really was unfair.
once you got close enough, a smile grew on your face as you crossed your arms. Leon had been sitting relatively still, you figured he had heard you walking over.
“you know those are super dangerous, right?”
he glanced at you, a slight huff of amusement leaving him.
“so are our jobs.” he responded plainly, almost like he knew exactly what you were going to say before you said it.
your smile grew at his response. he had a point, he always did.
“I’m just trying to look out for you, what if you crash and I need to come rescue you~?”
“right. cuz the first thing I’d do if I crashed would be to call you for help.” Leon deadpanned, however you knew Leon well enough to recognize the corners of his lips twitching up ever so slightly.
“calm down it’s a joke.” you rolled your eyes playfully, your hands now resting behind your back.
“so since when do you ride a motorcycle anyways?”
“A long time.” he sighed. memories the first time he ever rode a motorcycle flashed through his mind, all those years ago when he was still a rookie himself. it seemed like ages ago.
“Oh, cool. I’ve just never seen you with it before.” you comment, honestly you wished Leon would be on his motorcycle more. he was already attractive enough but, with a motorcycle he looked like he walked right out of a magazine.
“I don’t usually take it to work, only on missions. it’s faster.” he said, his hands left the handles and rested on his thighs.
“I’ve kinda always been afraid of them.” you commented, your eyes looking over the bike, observing all the individual parts and contraptions. honestly it looked like a saw trap to you.
“Well there’s nothing to be afraid of, as long as you know what you’re doing.” he muttered, his voice calm. however his eyes trailed down your figure ever so subtly.
you thought you were seeing things, was Leon Kennedy...checking you out? no, you had to have imagined it.
its not like you didn't want to have something more than a friendship with him, hell, that would be a dream. but you weren't the type to shamelessly flirt and make advances, especially on guys as intimidating as Leon. not to mention, he was quite older than you, part of you worried if he was even capable of seeing you that way.
“Hmm…well it still looks pretty scary to me.” you shrugged.
Leon noticed your staring at the bike, taking in the casual admission of fear. it made sense, lots of people were scared of motorcycles, but he didn't expect someone like you to be unnerved by them. his expression shifted from a blank face to a mildly amused one. he saw an opportunity.
“Do you wanna touch it?” he asked, his eyes trained on you. he had a naturally deep voice, but that paired with what he said sent a wave of heat through your body.
'Jesus, get your mind out of the gutter...' you scolded yourself. you fought the blush on your face, shrugging casually.
“Sure.” you took a step forward, eyes flickering between his eyes and the bike. you hesitated before awkwardly reaching out, patting the handle of the bike a few times.
“It’s feels like how I thought it’d feel like.” you said, pursing your lips into a line.
Leon chuckled softly at your actions, the sound was so magical, it made you want to make him laugh and smile over and over again. however you kept your composure.
Leon swung one leg off the seat, getting off of the bike. you eyed him curiously as he wasn't sitting down anymore. he stood next to you, looking at the seat and then at you. after a moment of silence he gestured to the seat, eyeing you expectantly.
“sit, it’s not all that bad up close.” he said. you guess your offhand comment had triggered this impromptu motorcycle lesson.
you felt odd sitting down on the hard seat, you'd never been on a motorcycle before. irrationally scared that the bike would start and speed off all of a sudden, but you knew better than that.
“put it on neutral.” he stood next to your sitting figure, pointing to the clutch by your left foot.
bold of him to assume you'd casually have any knowledge on putting a motorcycle into neutral.
“what? wait no im not actually riding it.” you said, giving him an incredulous look. now was not facing-your-fears time.
a small smile appeared on his face, amused by you. all your thoughts melted away at the sight of it. you thought you were dreaming when you felt a warm hand rest on your shoulder.
“you’re not riding it, I’m just showing you something.” he said, his hand giving a soft squeeze to your shoulder. it was almost laughable how willing you were to do whatever he asked with just a touch on the shoulder.
the warmth of his hand lit up your whole body. you followed his instructions on putting the bike into neutral. shifting the clutch up half-a-click. glancing at him to see if you did it correctly.
"good." he responded to your search of confirmation. you turned your face away after, wanting to hide the blush that rose on your face from the praise. it didn't help that he somehow felt closer when you did glance at him.
“Do you see this?" Leon asked, he pointed to the right grip. meanwhile, his hand that was on your shoulder, experimentally slid down. slowly caressing the curve of your back, now his hand hand was ghosting over your waist. like he wasn't completely sure of it, the last thing he'd want to do was make you uncomfortable.
you felt like you were struggled to breath when you felt his light grip on your waist. your heart practically hammering against your chest. you had nothing to do with your hands, so they fidgeted with the ends of hair, needing something to try and soothe yourself.
it took you a moment before you realized he had asked you a question.
"Yeah I do." you said, your hand lightly holding the grip.
"This is the throttle, just twist that a bit.” he murmured, his hand now comfortably resting against your side. you wondered if maybe he was trying to taunt you or something. despite that, whatever he was doing, it was working. you were battling to keep your self-respect in check, as if it was hanging off a cliff and your grip on it was slipping.
your thoughts aligned again right before you were about to twist it.
“Is that gonna make the engine rev and be all loud?” you asked, the tone of your voice giving away you didn't want to do that. motorcycles were already loud enough, plus you'd never been this close to one when it revved. you were a bit of a jumpy person, and Leon knew that.
“No it won’t.” he assured, his thumb drawing gentle circles on your waist. heat spread through your body once again, instinctively getting the urge to squeeze your thighs on the bike seat, but you refrained. the last thing you wanted was Leon to think you were getting hot and bothered just from him touching your waist.
anyways, you did what he said, twisting the clutch, immediately the bike barked loudly. the engine revving obnoxiously loud before your hand flew off the handle, the sudden loud noise made you flinch and sent your heart pumping for a whole new different reason.
you heard a soft laugh from Leon.
“Leon you asshole! Why’d you lie?” your head whipped to look at him, your expression a careful balance between annoyance and amusement. why did he have to have such an attractive smile.
“I’m sorry I’m sorry…you’re just so cute when you’re scared.” he said. his head tilting ever so slightly, carefully measuring your reaction to his words.
you could have sworn your heart beat stuttered at his casual comment. was he...? no...he couldn't have been flirting with you. is that what this all was?
your mouth opened and closed a few times as you tried to think of some response. “Is that why you wanted me to sit on your stupid bike, to scare me?” you did your best to give him a sarcastic but ultimately unaffected look. there was no way to hide the blush on your face so it probably didn't work that well.
“No, it’s because I wanted to touch you.” he said the words so casually you could have almost missed them. you felt crazy, you almost didn't want to believe he was flirting with you.
“…really?” was all you could manage.
“Really.” he responded, the blush on your waist was all the evidence that his advances were welcomed, or at the least not rejected. his eyes trailed from your features down your figure, you looked good sitting on his bike, he thought.
“Is it okay if I touch you here?” his free hand rested on your left thigh, the touch almost making you shudder. you felt the urge to shy away from his touch, you felt crowded by him in the best way possible.
“Yes…” you muttered quietly, eyes flickering between his eyes and his lips as he leaned in slowly.
your phone in your back pocket began to ring, bringing you out of this fantasy. it acted as an alarm, waking you up from your silly dream where your older, smoking hot co-worker was putting the moves on you...except this was reality.
you felt embarrassed when your phone rang, muttering a small 'sorry' as you took out your phone, looking to see who was going to win the 'cock-block of the century' award.
oh shit. it was your roommate, you had totally forgot you guys were supposed to watch that movie. you were supposed to have been home twenty minutes ago. just as you were about to answer the call, you felt an absence of warmth on your thigh. Leons thumb pressing the red 'dismiss' button on your phone. you were going to protest, to explain the situation.
“They can wait.” he whispered, his face inches from yours, his hand gently holding your wrist. maybe he was right...she could probably wait.
your breath hitched as he leaned in, closing the distance and kissing you. he smelled so clean and woodsy, it was hypnotizing. your eyes shut softly as you kissed him back, tilting your head to deepen the kiss.
never would you think you'd somehow end up kissing Leon, honestly you never thought you'd get as far as being friends.
just as his hand had traveled to your hair, your phone rang loudly again. he stilled, pulling back with a frustrated sigh, whoever this person was, they sure were infringing on his moment with you. you felt equal parts frustrated and flustered, glancing at the phone, confirming to yourself it was your best friend calling again.
“Sorry uhm, it’s my roommate. I was supposed to be home twenty minutes ago. she's probably freaking out." you hurried to explain, hanging up again, you knew you had to go.
“I see.”
you fought the urge to grimace at his response, did he think you were trying to get away?
“Sorry I’m not trying to seem like I’m uncomfortable- I’m not- I like you…I like what we did.” you said as you got up off the bike, eyes switching between him and your phones as texts from your best friend started rolling in, could she have some chill?
“I like what we did too.” he watched you with a small smile, if you looked hard enough, you'd be able to see how his face was more pink than usual.
truthfully you really didn't want to leave, not after everything that had just happened but, you had made a promise to your best friend, you weren't about to break it.
“look, I’ve seriously gotta go- but I’ll see you later…?” you asked, hoping, praying to any god out there that this wasn't a one time thing. a lapse in judgement on his part.
he nodded, still with that small satisfied look on his stupidly handsome face, he watched as you walked away to your car. knowing he would be calling later.
