Thank you so much for the fic rec anon!  I have read it!  It was recc’d to me a long time ago as having that unicorn in Luke/Mara fandom, het anal <3  So I made sure to jump on that fic when I was told about it.

There really isn’t enough BDSM for the Luke/Mara crowd, is there?  I hope, if you like Mara tied up, that you have also read my fic Command Performance?

I respond the question of the best smut fic I think it’s Master and Hand from the Luke deserves all the blowjob challenge since Luke/Mara is my OTP and I love the dom/sub themes in the fic. Although with the way it’s going your fic Copy That might become my favorite. I just can’t get over the fact that you manage to make a gangbang smut with lots of fluff. So let’s say it’s a tie between those 2.

Hello anon!  Happy to see you and thank you for your ask.  You nailed one of the reasons I want more of it:  ”it’s just not something I come across often”!

The reason you don’t come across het anal often is that (by some tragic quirk of fandom) a great many fanfic writers have decided anal sex is mainly for slash ships.  I get the logic; when you put the boys together it’s a good orifice to fill, but ladies have that hole too guys, let’s not forget!!!  So in all seriousness I am very happy to answer this question about why I like het anal as a smutty kink.

Sure, it’s a personal question, but c’mon, what is fanfic if not the most thinly disguised idfic in literary genre?  But since we don’t want to scare anyone, more below the cut.  C’mere, anon, follow me.

Let’s break this answer into two parts:  Why het anal is great 1) in fanfic and 2) in RL.  They are related.  I’ll save the essays for my doctorate (just kidding), but we could write a thesis about any one of the points below:

First, in fanfic, besides just being hot and sexy (the main reason I like it!), it can be used in a symbolic or narrative tool sense.  Just a couple examples:

--to demonstrate trust (I am willing to do this with you even though I haven’t done it before/am not sure I’m into it) ( Naughty or Nice by @handsofthrawn is a loving example of this)

--to show a certain level that a relationship has reached (we’re married so long we know exactly what we like, we have no secrets from one another, etc.  My fic  Command Performance is an example of that.

--to demonstrate mistrust or some sort of unhealthy aspect to the relationship (I want you but we cannot have “regular” sex because that would be too normal and we/I are/am not normal)  You could argue this might fit the Strangers When We Meet (gender neutral) fic I wrote although where “you” are being penetrated is never specified.

--to evince the purely sexual nature of a relationship (no chance of babies here!) like in my fic The Warrior’s Dancer (rimming and assplay) although they do get to the vaginal sex eventually.

--to highlight dom/sub or power dynamics (bondage, pegging, I own you completely, etc.).  This example is seen in Impetuous .

--one way to keep the boys busy during the gangbang! (like in my fic Alone Time where it is mentioned...also mentioned verrrry briefly in Kinetic Countermeasures and also you could check out Floral by @jessko-fic )

·        Het anal, when done properly, can feel verrrrrrrrry good.  I’m not saying that you have to have done it to like the idea of it, of course.  Our assholes are a bundle of nerves—one of the body’s erogenous zones—and once you get over the weirdness/reluctance of having someone touch/lick/etc  “down there” you can really enjoy it.

·        Vaginal stimulation/penetration feels good (again when done properly—never underestimate how bad some people can be at sex), kissing/oral stimulation feels good, and anal stimulation/penetration feels good.  So…why not get pleasure overload from all three at once?  Or take turns in each?  (pay attention to order people!)  

·        There have been books and studies about female fantasies from here to eternity, and some of the most common include gangbangs or “being completely filled,” women claiming a sense of empowerment from satisfying multiple partners at once, etc.  I have discussed this in other fora, but the idea of being able to fulfill not just one but several people’s sexual needs all at once is definitely an empowering idea, even if modern pornography tends to present women being gangbanged as inherently submissive.  I disagree with that generalized presentation despite another of my personal kinks, the dominant male.  Yet another aspect of anal sex that appeals to the female psyche, per all these shrinks, is that it is often viewed as purely hedonistic—it has no reproductive possibilities, it feels “naughtier” than regular sex, it requires more foreplay and preparation (often) than vaginal sex, so it has that appeal as well. 

So if you want more het anal funtimes, @jadesabre83 is currently on a mission to put het anal in her fics so I would check out her latest and keep tracking her stuff!
