I GOT IT TO WORK
SaMoYeon au: they talk about what they are after maybe a night out at a party and maybe MiHyo showing interest in all of them
* if ur ok with this - 🍍
Momo plays with the tips of Nayeon’s fingers like she always did when she was nervous. Even if the woman next to her was part of her current worries.
Sana was somewhere in the bathroom, probably freshening up after their little party/get together at Mina and Jihyo’s place. Where the problem that currently hung heavy in the air had arisen.
Momo knew it was irrational on all their parts, since none of them had ever truly established what their little hookups get togethers were. But something about having both Mina and Jihyo be flirty with Nayeon and Sana respectively had changed the atmosphere.
She saw the way Nayeon tensed when Jihyo flirted with and teasingly groped at Sana. And she saw the flash of hurt behind Sana’s eyes when Mina got a bit forward with Nayeon.
And Momo herself? She had to admit that both instances made some slight sickening feeling bubble in her. They were all her friends, yes, and she wasn’t angry. But she couldn’t help how she felt. And that just made the little walk back even more awkward (even if the moment they settled in Nayeon had been all up for cuddling). But none of them had said more than some 2, 3, 4 (?)... words to each other.
Momo just continued to absentmindedly busy herself with Nayeon’s fingers as they leaned against each other.
But then Sana, always one to draw attention whether intentional or not, emerges from the hallway, in her pajamas and fresh from the shower.
“Let’s talk.” Simply and bluntly she says it, standing in front of them with a bit of a distant look.
“Ok... what about?” Nayeon asks, but she knows.
“What we’re doing. What this is.” Sana says gesturing between them. When Nayeon simply shrugs her shoulders in response, Sana huffs. And then she turns to Momo. Maybe she looks worried, maybe she looks sad and uncomfortable. Because Sana seems to soften up when she looks at her. “Momo?”
“...I’ll be honest. I don’t really like the thought of this ending. But if you two want to see other people... well... I guess date people in the first place since thats not what we’re doing... then that’s ok too. As long as you both are happy.”
Nayeon turns to her completely after she finishes, their knees bumping against each other. “But I’m already happy like this. With both of you.”
“”Really?”” Sana and Momo ask in unison. They glance at each other, then back to Nayeon.
“Yes, really,” she laughs, “trust me, I wouldn’t agree to do most of the stuff we do otherwise.”
“...what should we do then?” Momo asks. But her voice sounds much happier than before, anticipating what the future might hold.
Nayeon speaks up again. “Why don’t we take the romance thing slow, see where it goes. And for now, we won’t see anyone else unless we discuss it. Sounds good?”
Momo nods, and Sana steps closer, letting out a hum of acknowledgement. Then, she surges forward to kiss Momo, bent over at a but of an uncomfortable angle. But she does’s seem to mind.
And it’s like the wind is knocked from Momo’s lungs. “Sa-... Sana,” she speaks muffled, between smacks of their lips. And before she can even think to take a breath of air, Sana’s pulling away from her, now switching her attention to Nayeon. Momo watched with rapt attention as Nayeon let out her own surprised moan against Sana’s lips. Though she was quicker to melt into it, a gentle hand holding Sana’s shoulder.
They pull away, both smiling at each other happily. And then Sana stands up again. Excited eyes shift between the two on the couch expectantly. “Well? Go on.”
The two of them laugh, before turning to each other. And Nayeon, as hilariously charmingly exaggerated as she is, puckers her lips up at Momo. She rolls her eyes, but gives in regardless, caressing Nayeon’s soft cheek as they kiss.
After a bit more of that, and Sana watching them fondly, she speaks up again. “Think this calls for another little ‘party’ of our own?” Sana asks suggestively, watching her words register when the other two pull away. And she already knows what the answer will be. She can hear the answer in Nayeon’s excited, mischievous giggle. And she can see it when Momo gets up and she looks into her eyes (and maybe when she looks a little further down too, but that’s not unexpected from her) and smiles.
