Sebastian is a decently rich spoiled brat, who gets anything he wants in life. He’s rebellious, and tends to bend or break the rules to his satisfaction, and to spike his father’s already annoyance with him, still to this very day as he has became an actual grown adult. He is pretty mature, despite the trouble he will get himself in and out of, with his boyish charms. Sebastian is quite intelligent, working in favor of his job occupation, as growing up he loved to read and solve puzzles that others may not have looked carefully for. Therefore, making him follow in his father’s footsteps of becoming a lawyer. He was also an physical activities junkie growing up, participating in various things including lacrosse, track, soccer, dance, football, and baseball.

 Sebastian’s homelife isn’t the best, but it also isn’t the worst thing. He doesn’t have the best relationship with his father, but with his mother and siblings, it was decent enough to tell that he does care about his family in his own sense. He was always one of the popular ones in school, leaving his siblings to basically fend for themselves as he only cared more about himself then he did anyone else. Once he got expelled from private school and had to attend public school with some of his siblings, he became more reckless to the family name. He’s closed off to most of the world, including his family as he never wants to seem weak. He’s a lot to deal with to his entire family, as they never know what to do with him and just let him do whatever he feels like.

 If you were to ask what Sebastian was like, people would say he is an arrogant, sarcastic, manipulative asshole who uses people to his own advantage without any remorse whatsoever. He doesn’t believe in love and all that heart and flowers shit that all normal couples do. He has only ever been interested in just sex, as he never wants to become attached to someone after having his heart broken by his first crush he will never admit to having to anyone who isn’t close to him. Being known as the manwhore and troublemaker around town never bothered Sebastian, as he owned up to those names, not caring what anyone else thought of him. He always got a kick out of people disliking him, knowing he was doing something right by not letting anyone get too close to read into his soul, and learn all his dark secrets he had tried to hide for years. He loves parties, and sex, but highly dislikes cats, people being pushy and clinging all over him.

 After graduating from high school, he was accepted on a full scholarship into Columbia University in New York City, where he spent his years to earn his degree. He originally planned to move to Boston after he finished his education, but decided against it to move back home where his family and friends was. Just like in high school, he climbed the ladder to get to work for one of the best lawyers in town, and to learn more from them as he became a better lawyer himself. He works hard and long hours to make everything perfect, as he doesn’t like things to be half assed done. He puts his all into everything that he does in life, being the ambitious person that he was raised to be by his father. He is also very competitive in his workplace, due to his father telling him to be the best one there is.

Cane Anderson was always the happy go lucky type. He was the goof of the Anderson Family and spent his time trying to making everyone laugh, especially when the situations were rough. He always hated seeing anyone upset and down and always put his family and friends before himself.

Growing up in Philadelphia for a majority of his childhood and then moving to a completely new place had been hard on him. He had never been one to welcome change and hated the idea of leaving his friends and life behind for Smyrna. He refused to let his confusion and anxiety show as they settled into a new life and went about his business his usual happy way. Slowly the new place became home but he never quite let go of his fear of change throughout the years.

He kind of loved small town South Carolina though, coming from such a big city and no one knowing who he was to seeing literally everyone multiple times a day was fun. He was able to connect with more people and find friends who truly felt like were true friends to him who he could turn to for anything. Despite feeling like he was dumped into a new place in the beginning Smyrna actually wasn’t so bad as he finished high school and enrolled in the University of North Carolina.

Deciding what to do with his life quickly became his next struggle his freshman year of college. He knew he wanted to major in something where he was surrounded by people but he also wanted to make a difference and use his passion of helping people for good. That was when he decided to become a teacher to young children. Once he knew his destiny the 4 years of undergrad flew by and he quickly found himself a position at the elementary school while simultaneously working on his masters to become an official teacher. Continuing his master at UNC he currently is a teacher’s aid at Smyrna Elementary school.

Griffin Robert Anderson was born as Grace Audrey Anderson on the 25th of March, 1996 in Philladephia to James and Elizabeth Anderson. During his childhood, he would move to Smyrna, South Carolina.

Grace grew up as a fairly normal child. She was polite, kind and very handy. She loved helping her dad when he did repairs in the house or  when he built a bird house. His father may have been a lawyer, but he was still handy as well. She was good at it too and when she was thirteen, her skills exeeded her father’s. She always knew school and studying wasn’t for her. She wanted to build things, work with her hands and create. That is when she decided she wanted to become a carpenter and no one could stop her, even though her parents had wanted her to get a higher education.

Puberty hit Grace, who had generally dressed and acted androgenous, hard. She felt very uncomfortable with her curves she was developping. She avoided looking into the mirror and it took her until she was sixteen to realize that she was never a girl. She was in fact a boy. There was a small complication, though: by the time she’d realized that, she’d already come out as a lesbian. It was something that no one was surprised by, but she really wasn’t a lesbian. She was attracted to men, women and just in general, people. She had just figured that this was the only identity where people would accept her being more masculine - which she wanted to be even though she didn’t know at fourteen that she was a boy, yet.

She felt stuck when she was seventeen. She didn’t want to put her parents through another coming out but she’d have to, she realized after a while. She started doing research on being transgender, found online support groups, figured out the possible steps and what she wanted for herself. Then it was time to come out. On her eighteenth birthday, she had bought her own birthday cake. When she brought it out, it was a cake that said ‘Happy first birthday, Griffin’. She then told people she didn’t want gifts, she just wanted people to use her new pronouns: he, him and his.

His parents dealt with his coming out very differently. Both of them didn’t understand, but while his mother tried to understand and asked questions, his father just shut him out. He refused to call him Griffin or refer to him as a man, and that hurt Griffin deeply. He had always been close to his father, almost like best friends and now, he barely looked at him. Nevertheless, Griffin started going to a gender therapist in Charlotte. He drove himself in his old, second hand car which he’d paid for himself as he was already working at Scott’s Sawmill as a carpenter’s aid since he was fourteen. In those four years, he’d gathered quite a bit of money, as he had barely spent any of it. After two years of therapy, he was allowed to start hormone therapy and his mother helped pay for it even though his father objected.

Griffin is now waiting for his surgery date, to get top surgery and is looking forward to becoming a fully qualified carpenter in a few months. He also works as a cleaner at the theater on Saturday’s. He is happy, but the relationship with his father is still strained. It’s even more difficult to deal with because he’s still living at home and the rejection is constant. His father disagrees with his ‘lifestyle’, his job and once, in anger, told him that there won’t ever be a person that will put up with someone who looks like him. Maybe that is why Griffin hasn’t dated anyone since before he came out, because maybe he too believes that.

Barbra Sasha Berry was a simple minded girl, she wasn’t the brightest in some people’s eyes, but to some people she was a genius. She was friendly and nice and she had a passion in singing and performing. She knew in her mind, heart and soul was that she was born to be a singer. She had been singing for as long as she could talk, she was very vocal and amazing until one day she heard the news that her father had died. He died when she was only five so Barbra didn’t know how to handle it. She stopped singing on that day, years went by and she talked, but never sang. Shelby helped out the best that she could to make sure her daughter didn’t give up her dreams.

As Barbra had gotten older the more she realized that even though her father was gone, doesn’t mean she should stop doing what she loved. She joined her middle school choir, trying to get back into the habit of singing and performing. She had to slowly break out of her shell, she didn’t have many friends because she was still at that awkward point in her life. It became that way in high school, she had gained a lot of friends and it felt like she was whole again, the small void of her father gone still with her until this day.

Barbra decided to go to college for being a teacher, she wanted to be a performer but it still hurt more than she was hoping at this point. Barbra cried every time she sang a solo, putting all of her heart in there. She luckily got a position two years after she graduated from college, becoming a professor at the college she attended. She was willing to help people find their voice and wanted to influence their dreams, even if just for a little bit. Shelby was very proud of her daughter and knew that Hiram would be very proud of how his little girl turned out.

Cooper was always the type of person who liked being the center of attention. Since he was the first born he felt the most superior to everyone. Some people called him an ass but some people admired that he cared a lot about himself, found it flattering that he never talked down about himself. He was very outgoing people strived to be like him and girls were fanning over him. Cooper always thought it was cute, but it had gone to his head.

Things were going pretty alright with Cooper until one day his dad left out of nowhere and him and his mom were all alone, luckily enough they weren’t married so she didn’t have to worry about dealing with a divorce. He didn’t know what was happening and it left him really upset, he was about 12 years old. It was about the time he turned 16 when he was introduced to a man named Michael, his mother always talked about him for several years but didn’t let each other meet. When they met Cooper liked the guy, he was appreciative of Michael and knew that his mom was in good hands. Cooper was the best man at the wedding and he became a big brother, surely it seemed to take the attention away from him when the baby came but he didn’t mind, he would have siblings of people who would look up to him and everything.

After getting everything in life together Cooper went on to bigger and better things, he was at the top of his class and tried to be in every performance that he could be in, so when he graduated he would have a lot of experience to get him to bigger things in the real world. He liked being of attention and he liked bossing people around and watching people and how they handle their talents. So Cooper decided that he would go to college to study directing. Cooper knew he had enough in him to become on of the best directors in theater history. It was one of the best decisions he’s ever made. Now he’s living life right and is happy in all of his accomplishments. Never once settling down with a man or woman, but he knew all in good time he’d stop being stubborn in who he dates and go get whoever it is that he will want to spend the rest of his life with because currently his spouse was his job.

Self Harm TW Dani takes after her parents in the creative department, and though she was certain her father wished she’d gained his singing talents, he was always sure to tell her how proud he was whatever she did, and as long as she was happy doing it, then both her mother and father would be right behind her all the way. This wasn’t an attitude they had just gained though, no, they had always told this to Dani, that whatever she wanted to do in life, it had to make her happy, and that was all that they cared about. It was even a constant through her life when she had come to the realisation at a young age that being born a boy, just wasn’t who she was, it didn’t match who she was on the inside.

The signs began to show when Danielle was just a child, and though her parents weren’t really sure on what to do, they kept trying things, reading on parental books, wondering if they’d gone wrong somewhere along the line, and because Dani was their first, everything was brand new to the Schuester parents. It only got worse for Danielle the older she got, her interests in the arts even began to faulter and depression struck her hard. Will and Emma were at a loss, their little 'boy’ was struggling with something, and all they could do was watch on as she spiralled further and further into a darkness. At the age of fourteen, Dani hit a knew low. Whilst being bullied in the hallway at school, obscenities flung her way, Danielle had left school abruptly, the internal war inside of her was winning, and after running all the way home to an empty house, Danielle did the unthinkable.

At the hospital, after a neighbour heard her cries for help, Will and Emma finally realised what was going on with their 'son’. Danielle had cut herself, in places that would rid herself of all of her problems, but it didn’t, it just caused her more pain, and issues that could only worsen the situation she was in now, but luckily her parents had a bit of a clue, they’d heard their childs cry for help, and the only thing for them to do now was treat their 'son’, like the daughter she really was. The small changes that started from that point on had big affects on Danielle’s life, and though after school had found out all about her, and the mixed reactions she gained, she quickly learned not to care, because as her parents always told her, as long as she was happy, they’d be right there behind her, and with that, she didn’t care what anyone else thought.

High School did become harder though, transitioning with the typical struggles of a teenager weren’t the easiest to deal with, but her love for art and design became a big crutch for her, but with the friends she actually did make, everything came with ease, even when her depression crippled her and her body dysmorphia was at its worst, she had her parents, her siblings and friends that didn’t make her want to quit. After graduation, Danielle decided to take a couple years out of education, focus solely on transitioning and the direction of her life was going, she had to get things right, she had one shot to become the woman she needed to be, and this was it. She often felt guilty, and still does to this day, about how much her parents put towards her treatments, and though she did her own part to it, raising money and getting odd jobs to save up, she thanks her parents daily for those precious years of her life in which they did everything to understand and help her.

Dani decided that leaving the state for college would be the best thing for her, and though her parents worried about her being out in the world, they knew that if it was what Dani wanted, then they would allow her the freedom to do what she needed. During her college years, that was the time that Dani really flourished into a young woman, she gained friends, and a couple of relationships, she was finally a confident young woman that she knew she deserved to be, but things began to crumble after college ended. Dani bounced between jobs, she struggled to keep herself afloat, even when her parents wired her money to ensure that their daughter could live, but now a few years later, Dani had finally returned back to Smyrna after losing touch with everyone but her family, hoping to work and save up money to make it on her own once more, to get out from under her parents caring wings and to show them that she’s able to live a happy and stable life in the world alone.

Aubrey Abrams is the oldest sibling in the Abrams family. As oldest, she feels a sense of responsibility for them and tries to set an example for them to follow. Her family is the most important thing in her life and she has made many sacrifices for them. Her loyalty to them has kept her in Smyrna.

Aubrey has a fascination with animals. Starting with growing up on the ranch, she knew that all she wanted was to work with animals for the rest of her life. Originally focusing on Equestrian training, she soon realised she wanted to help all animals, small and big. She studied hard and paid her own way through college and Veterinarian school.

Out of her siblings, she is closest to Artie the most. Being around the same age, she was heartbroken when he had his accident and it’s affected her just as much as it has him. She can’t help but be fiercely protective of him and she will willingly fight anyone who starts on him or gives him grief for being in his chair. She’s also close to her parents, more so her father. Both alike in personality and looks, she always looks up to him as her own role model, trying to lead the family in the way he does.

Aubrey has many likes and dislikes. Her main likes are animals, exercise, horse riding (especially show jumping), she prefers tea over coffee and doesn’t eat meat. She’s a strict vegetarian and dislikes being around the scents of cooked meat. She likes knitting and drawing also, finding the artistic skills keep her controlled and her somewhat fiesty and strong temperament at bay. Her dislikes include meat, rudeness and also the rain.
