“Ever been held at gunpoint? Want to know what it feels like?” divergent au
“I’m Dauntless, of course I’ve hada gun pointed at me. Found out afterwards that it wasn’t loaded, but they don’ttell you that at the time. I would be more interested to see if you’ve everfaced such a thing. From what I know, they don’t let Candor run around withguns and they wouldn’t really know what to do with them in the first place. Thelawyers, right, that’s what Candor is?” Hunter chuckled softly, though it wasone of condescending rather than humor. This newbie, this Candor boy, didn’tknow what he was even talking about and yet he wanted to act superior tosomeone born and raised in Dauntless. It was amusing.
“Unless you want to know what itfeels like to watch your life flash before your eyes, I suggest that you onlyspeak when you are spoken to.” Hunter took a step back then, looking towardsthe other initiates. He would need to keep this one down before the othersthought they could act out as well. Dauntless was about more than fighting andbeing reckless, it was about order and as far as these initiates wereconcerned, Hunter was well above them. He pulled out his gun in a flash andwithin only a second or two of aiming, shot in front of the Candor boy’s foot. “Unlikewhen one was pointed at me, this gun is not empty. Now then, is there any morecommentary or can we proceed with our tasks?”
He was met with silence and Hunterlet out a soft sigh of relief. He would have to keep an eye out for this Candorboy with the big mouth, but for not things were alright. Superiority had beenshown and that with the fear of being turned away and becoming factionlesswould keep the others in line for a while longer. @smytherps
