I'll have you know that I'm currently drinking through a straw and struggling because of how much I'm smiling at the thought of Snyder never having a truly healthy long-term relationship with anyone.

I mean, we technically have SnAIder and Doc but that only lasts for like a month at the most and it's less friend-friend and more "I'm stuck with a random guy in my house while there are Zurks outside, it's better for the both of us if we get along". I know they can have fun talking about science stuff in the meantime but that's- Snyder, buddy, there's more to friendship than finding you have one thing in common with another person.😭

On an adjacent note, I find Snyder's dislike of humans along with their stubborn personality wildly funny. Humans suck and all, but one of the greatest things about humans is their ability to adapt and change. And Snyder, the shapeshifter, solves problems by doing the same thing over and over with varying degrees of intensity, but ultimately refuses to accept that they may be wrong and refuses to try to approach things differently, refusing to change.

I'll have you know that I first read that as "if they were ever given a gift" but then I see it's actually "if they were even given a gift" and I'm absolutely cackling LMAO SNYDER DOESN'T GET CRAP.

I'm aware that Snyder has a small wooden bird carving on their desk that they associate with Jack, but I wasn't there for the actual obtaining of the item. I don't know if he gave it to them, they stole it from him, just a random item, etc. Aside from that, I'm not aware of Snyder receiving any other gifts or anything adjacent (Santa has not come for them).

Ahem... anyways I think I've got to redo Snyder's relationship descriptions one of these days.

Snyder's current relationship with Jack is "friends" and it's kinda just left like that. When that happens I assume that people (I've never asked anyone) imagine Snyder and Jack interacting like they invite each other to lunch or something. Which I mean.. I guess? Jack lowkey just forces Snyder to come along with him and he bullies Snyder if they don't.

And that's exactly the point! If y'all were really friends, would they make you do something you don't want to do? Would they laugh at you?

I have WAY more art of Jack bullying Snyder than them ever being friend-friends

Jack and Snyder see each other as friends, even though they shouldn't be. Words are hard. Listen listen listen-

Short summary, Snyder feels worthless and lonely because everybody says they do everything wrong all the time. They created the sneezels to comfort them but everybody hates those too.

Except Jack. He does research on wildlife but has a particular interest for sneezels. Everyone "likes" Jack because he's smart and can do things or whatever, but nobody actually bothers to get to know him.

Jack and Snyder meet and YAY they like each other because sneezels are awesome but it's more because Snyder's like "Holy cow someone actually likes my stuff, does this mean they like me too?" and Jack's like "Woah this person actually listens and cares about what I have to say."

Unfortunately that's about as deep as their friendship gets. "Friendship". Codependency? I think that's the word I've been looking for (?).

Anyways time for a brief discussion about their inevitable falling out-

Both Jack and Snyder are prideful to a fault, with Snyder's pride stemming more from insecurity. One day while Jack gets mad at Snyder for messing whatever-it-is up again (Snyder doesn't clock this as a red flag because that's just been their entire life tbh) Snyder decides that they're going to try and fix it because they want to be helpful and gain approval.

"Well, Jack seems to have gotten a lot of information wrong about the sneezels, and since I created them, I can correct that information. He will be so happy!"

So when Snyder releases their own publishing about sneezels that completely debunks Jack's life's work and shuns him from the scientific community, Jack is understandably very very not happy...

"I was trying to help! I'm right!"

I know you were trying to help, Snyder. But you are definitely not doing it right. 😭

Anyways Jack and Snyder's relationship get worse and worse and Snyder blows up the world the end! Thanks for listening to my ramblings that I'll eventually need to clean up and upload to their official Google Docs <3

Wait wait hold on I got one more really quick one listen listen listen-

I have it written down that Snyder and Snowball (boss) are well, employee-employer. But what if☝️child-parent? LISTEN-

Well actually there isn't much to say, I just saw little Snyder riding around in Snowball's coat pocket once and I thought of it as more of a parental thing than an employer thing... it was the one cute thing I've seen them do and I don't want to throw it away so now it's canon.

Also having a parental figure treat their kid like an employee is wildly messed up and is too good of an opportunity for me not to take. Also also it would explain why Snyder tends to cling to Snowball despite being afraid of them. "I'm expected to love them... Is this what love is like?"

13. Favorite Slums NPC

Seamus!! I really like his design and I'm surprised I haven't drawn him more. His character arc is nice too. I also like his animations, like him trying to shoo the cat and him getting startled at the zurk in the secret lab. Also I find it mildly amusing that he has 16 packs of cigarettes just sitting in a pile on the floor that the cat can knock around.

Alternatively, Elliot because I like how nerdy he is. (shut up SnAIder-)

15. Favorite Midtown NPC

Blazer, but not in a "YIPPIEE!!" way. More like a "I want to tear you apart with my teeth and then stitch you back together" way. He's just... interesting. So interesting in fact, I'm not giving him anesthetic.

As I think about alternative answers, I'm realizing the Midtown residents are a lot more bully-able than the Slums residents... I like watching Ozi struggle with the loud music, I like tripping the peacemaker, and I like scaring the other peacemaker. I also like Razinput's upside down face. But ultimately I'm going to pick Hator for my alternative answer because I've spent waaay too long watching him jump in front of the cat to prevent it from getting into the store.

3. Favorite Chapter (Story-wise)

HNNNG tough question, but I think Control Room hit the hardest for me. I'll make a mini-post later about my silly nonserious dislike of B-12, but during almost the entirety of my first playthrough I just... never took him seriously, even during the memory scenes in Antvillage and the Midtown subway.

It wasn't until we went to the Control Room and the sight of the helpers, non-droid text, and bright non-neon lights made me go "Dang, this is real."

Amazingly I STILL didn't care for B-12 as he was literally smoking trying to open up the city. But when he went up and gave the friendship speech... I normally think in English, but my brain switched to Vietnamese and said "Wait!"

So yeah, Control Room made me marginally reflect on how I treated B-12. Actually, ya'll's AUs are doing most of the heavy lifting so good job guys, I mentally flung B-12 around like a yo-yo before I read ya'll's stuff 😭

Alternatively, I also really liked getting to know about The Outsiders and Momo in Slums Part 1 (it along with Midtown are also way more replayable than Control Room).

18. Favorite Cutscene

Blazer's betrayal because of body language and how uncomfortable the whole thing is.

We enter the room and Clementine notices us with her first "Mmph?" However, her second "Mmph!!!" is more desperate, and if you wait to click on the dialogue she actually starts to struggle against the ropes, trying to warn us about Blazer at the door. Then there's the whole thing with Blazer being unnecessarily close to Clementine.. Lastly, as the sentinels close in on the cat, Clementine looks back at Blazer, shaking her head.

I think the common comparison is a trainwreck? "It's horrible but I can't look away." The scene is SO tense, especially with "Blazer's theme" (a deeper variation of the Midtown theme) playing in the background, kinda representing how Blazer is only a part of Midtown's overall shadiness.

On a happier note, I liked Seamus and Doc's reunion as well as the ending scene with all the robots looking up into the sky (+ kitty slow-blinking at us). And also both of the vehicle sequences... and the initial Slums alarm sequence... gosh this game is so good

I really like Stray's soundtrack and I had a question about it. Couldn't solve the question myself. I'm kinda distant towards fandom spaces but I was desperate, so I made a Tumblr account planning on asking the question, getting an answer, and deleting everything. Clearly with art and SnAIder and all the cool people I met, I deviated a bit from my original mission...

BUT now that you've reminded me, I shall post the question (after Sneeze stops running in circles and jumping up and down...)

To quickly explain ask games, they're basically an invitation to chat and answer questions. Ask games usually have a list of questions, and anyone who sees the post can send a number in your ask box for you to answer.

2. Favorite B-12 Memory

For whatever reason I have a hard time taking B-12 seriously, but I audibly went "aw.." when B-12 found the memory of the dead Slums robot and the pile of suitcases trying to get to Midtown.

Second place goes to B-12 trying to eat robot food because I found him staring at it with his deadpan face wildly hilarious.

5. Favorite Sleeping Spot

Clementine's apartment is sooo cozy I love it there. I actually didn't know you could sleep there until I was looking up background music for work... Before that I probably would've said the couch dude in Midtown.
