Juice is everywhere and for good reason: it's the best way to find some passing respite from Surabaya's heat and humidity. Most juices have thicker consistencies and are more like slushies or smoothies. Jus alpukat is no exception but don't be deceived -- this cold, sweet, creamy drink has no place in any Los Angeles diet fad. Fresh avocado is thrown into a blender with sweetened condensed milk and cold milk and then pureed until everything reaches a smooth consistency. Poured into a glass cup, the rich drink is then topped with chocolate syrup, which slowly sinks through the thick juice to the bottom. The first sip may take you by surprise, but the combination works so well that you'll be even more surprised when you look down to discover that your frosted cup is empty.
