I’m mulling over the... lost potential of Sirius and Lupin regarding Snape. What matters to me most is whether Snape is happy/loved or not. If a relationship can bloom between Severus & Sirius, or Severus & Lupin, ooorrr Severus & Lupin & Sirius (eheheh), I’m okay with it. I even like the idea of Lupin growing up into a braver man who finally truly stands up to the underdog, and/or Sirius realizing he fucked up really badly, that it’s time to leave behind old prejudices and to repent. It can give a good character arc to both of them.
Hell, regarding canon, given Lupin rather loves Tonks and the singles are Severus and Sirius, who are also the ones deepest involved in Harry’s welfare (they can bond over it), well, why not put them together, it could fit. (I’m also less comfortable with Lupin than Sirius, and Sirius’ sort of obsession with Severus is very intringuing)
Iit’s just so sad that this potential of Sirius and Lupin is lost to snaters. I don’t want to let them ruin those characters like this.
The Snapedom has this great quality of bringing good character meta and embracing their darkness. I feel like it could be way more satisfying to bring our own take, a truer, more interesting one.
