Silver air, soft silence 🌫
We walked out a ridge that had been entirely burnt. “Snag” trees loomed everywhere. These trees were huge, standing tall, dry, and bare, completely dead. The ground was littered with fallen trees, every couple steps you would have to climb over one... this didn’t help ease my mind whatsoever lol. This place is a death trap! New pines are thriving, creating a whole new forest., which is great. They have made tight passageways through the dead trees, sometimes blocking the dangers from sight and mind.
