My Thoughts:

I've been using this serum for almost a month now and I love it! It's very hydrating and leaves my skin feeling very smooth and soft. This serum also isn't sticky or thick on the skin. I love the gel consistency because it sinks so well into my face. I don't have wrinkles so I don't know how well it'll work for that but, my skin is really enjoying this serum. ⭐5/5

Review: COSRX Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence

What seems gross to the majority of people is a god send to the skincare community - snail secretion. 

Here are my thoughts on COSRX’s Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence!

Packaging: 

Like all COSRX products, the packaging is minimalist, sleek and plain which I really like!

Ingredients: 

Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Arginine, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol 

It has 96% of the snail secretion filtrate, making this a highly concentrated formula.

Formula:

This stuff is really ‘gooey’ and viscous, there is no scent. The consistency takes some getting used to but then its fine and almost cooling on the skin. 

My Routine:

I apply this after toner and before my moisturizers. It dries down nice and quick so there’s no left over sticky feeling so I feel that other products can be layered on top pretty well.

Price: 

This was about $15 AUD, which I consider very reasonable for a 100ml bottle. 

The Bottom Line:

This product provides a good level of hydration and definitely leaves my skin feeling smoother and softer. My skin tone feels more evened out and less ‘blotchy’ with redness. I’m unsure if I’ll repurchase, I might see if I’m missing it once it runs out. There’s definitely no OBVIOUS changes that I’d rave about but it’s a nice product that hydrates and softens the skin.

This time I'm gonna share my thoughts on One Step Moisture Up Kit, since I have already reviewed the One Step Original Clear Pad

The One Step Moisture Up Kit is truly a perfect travel companion. It is also great for those who want to try the products before buying the full size. This kit consists of 3 essential steps: cleanser, toner, and sheet mask.

1. Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

"This gentle cleanser does not irritate the skin, but it definitely does its job in removing all impurities from the skin"

Unlike other cleansers I've tried that can make the skin drier, this cleanser provides enough moisture and I don't even feel the need to rush to use toner afterwards! After using this, my skin feels more supple. No wonder this cleanser has a good reputation and is labeled as a gentle cleanser. It has tea tree oil, making it suitable for acne prone skin.

However, compared to COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser, this low pH cleanser feels less refreshing. I'm not a fan of the smell either, but it doesn't really bother me so it's okay.

This toner is extremely moisturizing! The result is similar to using a sheet mask, which makes the skin more supple, moisturized, radiant, and hydrated.

I have been using the One Step Original Clear Pad every night for several weeks so I can compare these two best-selling products. In my opinion, this One Step Moisture Up Pad has much smoother pads, making it safe for sensitive skin. It also has more essence (often dripping!) , so it's also suitable for dry skin😊

The COSRX Holy Moly Snail Mask claims to plump, refine troubled skin, help treat acne, minimize scarring, firm and improve elasticity. The first two ingredients are red ginseng water and snail secretion filtrate.

Unlike other sheet masks, this mask has no fragrance. The sheet is thick, peach-colored, has quite a lot of essence and is sticky, considering the snail secretion filtrate as one of the main ingredients. The essence took a while to absorb, but the next morning I woke up with a more supple and radiant skin!
