MARK for COSRX
This is just some of skincare I’ve been using recently… I’ve dropped the idea of a single routine and use what I think my skin needs that day. What is everyone using or planning to try these days? The fact summer and hot weather is coming is making me real nervous for my skin. 🥹
Review of COSRX's The 6 Peptide Skin Booster
COSRX is a Korean brand that takes its name from cosmetics + rx. They've worked on creating effective, affordable, and skin-friendly products. Their The 6 Peptide Skin Booster is designed to enhance skin elasticity and refine skin texture while providing pore care. Key ingredients include: acetyl hexapeptide-8 (reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, supports collagen production, firming, promotes more youthful skin), copper tripeptide-1 (encourages collagen and elastin production, anti-inflammatory, improves skin firmness, antioxidant-rich), sh-polypeptide-121 (synthetic peptide that mimics collagen, improves skin elasticity, reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates skin regeneration), oligopeptide-68 (brightening, reduces hyperpigmentation, promotes even skin tone), palmitoyl tripeptide-8 (reduces skin irritation, anti-inflammatory, beneficial for sensitive skin, soothing), niacinamide (whitening, lightening, anti-aging, rejuvenating, anti-wrinkle), allantoin (moisturizing, soothes irritation, promotes skin healing, smoothing), and sodium hyaluronate (anti-aging, anti-wrinkle, hydrating, moisturizing, healing). This product retails for between $17-25 USD. You can get it here for $25 + shipping. You can use my rewards code: DMR1986 to save some money on your order.

To quickly note, I received this for free from Influenster and COSRX in exchange for my honest review.
The booster contains 150 ml (5.07 oz) and it's fragrance-free.
It has a pretty viscous, light texture.
It's very hydrating and does a good job of refreshing the skin.
It leaves skin deeply hydrated with a bit of a tacky finish.
Recommended use is after washing your face. Take an adequate amount of this product in the first step of your skincare routine and gently spread it on your face. Pat it softly to aid absorption, and apply multiple layers to deliver abundant efficacy to the skin. After using it, I found this to be very moisturizing, very hydrating, and the texture is really nice. It's fragrance-free and free of irritants. It smooths over the skin very easily and absorbs well. It's really good for sensitive skin as it's very gentle and I had no irritation. It felt very refreshing, and it layers well under other products and aids in better absorption for other products after it. I'd recommend this for aging/mature skin and for people with dry/sensitive skin.
What I like: this is very gentle, and it's very moisturizing. I like the texture, and I think it comes with a very generous amount for what it is. It's sensitive skin-friendly and free of irritants and fragrance. What I don't like: honestly, nothing.
Pros:
Hydrating
Moisturizing
Sensitive skin friendly
Fragrance-free
Gentle
Nourishing
Cons:
None
Would I buy this?
Yes

Winter skincare routine 🦋
I'm so, so excited about my winter skincare routine! I need a lot of moisturizing right now; it's freezing, and there is terribly dry air in this part of Europe. Luckily, the Korean/Japanese skincare has helped so much. I even achieved the 'glass skin' look for the first time, which I initially thought would be impossible on my dry and problematic skin. The only downside is that it takes so long, but I've learned to enjoy those moments, really take my time with gua sha massages, and just ruminate over my day.
Morning:
Innisfree Green Tea & Amino Acid Moisturizing Foam Cleanser
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream
Innisfree Jeju Cherry Blossom Jelly Cream
Followed by makeup routine & La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50 spray
Evening:
Shiseido WASO Shikulime Gel-to-Oil Cleanser
Sisley Eau Efficace Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Face and Eye
COSRX AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner
COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid (I've used this every evening for the last five years; nothing else has helped with my acne)
COSRX Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
COSRX Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream
Shiseido WASO Shikulime Mega Hydrating Moisturizer
Gua sha massages
Honestly, the Shiseido WASO doesn't get enough recognition; the line is so good!
I will give this routine a few more months to see if it has any blind spots, but so far, I'm very happy. And I can't praise the famous Innisfree jelly enough 🩵 I use the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, and it can be drying.
As I wrap up my skincare journey for the day, I'm reminded that taking care of my skin is like giving a little gift to myself every morning and evening. Here's to glowing skin and the joy of self-care! ✨
