aaaaaaaa where did you get those adorable spooky hides (like the pumpkin and the ghost)??
Hiyas! I’ll tell you my secret to getting the best seasonal decor for your snakey pals:Target. They ALWAYS have great stuff. The adorable pumpkin and ghost and kitty hides were all in the “Dollar Spot” right by the entrance where they put all the best cheapest stuff. They were $3 each and I wish I’d bought more because I went back a few days ago and my local Target was picked clean. :(I hope your neighborhood Target location is richer in treasures.
In celebration of reaching 7000 followers for this blog, my gift to all of you is this slightly cute but mostly terrible and somewhat embarrassing video I made in 2015. This was my first foray into YouTube tutorials and also my last. Highlights include me stopping in the middle of sentences, being improperly prepared at all times for anything, surprise bird hat, pet rooster screaming like a dinosaur, secret My Melody peepin’ from the pumpkin on the table.
Enjoy!
Hides are an essential part of any good snake enclosure. In fact, many owners have two; one on the cool side and one in their snake’s basking area. Because they’re so crucial for your snake’s health and wellbeing, it’s vital that you select the best hide for your pet snake. …
What are the best snake hides? https://www.snakesforpets.com/best-hides-for-snakes/
First couple coats on the castle has been done and got the first coat on the other hide finished up. Andromeda is going to love them!
Okay this is a little different of a question. I already have some snakes and I was wondering about making a more "fancy" hide for them. I have a smelter at home here and was wondering if melting down pop cans and pouring them into a mold if the tin/other substances would be toxic to the animals. I have been looking on line but don't really see anything on it. Thanks :)
That is incredibly interesting o.o I personally wouldn’t use metal for hides, because of humidity requirements for some species (and all species when in shed) the metal would likely rust. I do know a person who would help out in making hides but she’s not on tumblr anymore, just facebook. I also think @wheremyscalesslither made that little castle for her lucy ratsnake? Or did you get it from somewhere? I don’t remember :P Anyways if you were to make a hide it would be better to use something other than metal to make it with :)
