Okay this is also age swap and I'm not done it yet but i'm gonna post what I have! People can ask about wips on this post
"I need to ask someone to dance with me," Kojiro explains. A pleading sound in his voice as he clutches the fabric of his itchy uniform shirt with his hand.
He is nervous. He looks nervous. He has even warmth covering his face and turning it red. His heart is hammering, there isn't a doubt about that. His hands are probably sweaty and his hair is messy as it grows out unevenly.
"And you're asking me this? Do I look like I know how to dance?" Langa asked as he removed the bearings of his board to clean them since apparently one wasn't supposed to spray WD40 into them before every ride (Reki wasn't impressed).
The questions had Kojiro pausing. Second guessing everything. His face is that of someone who is heartbroken. Langa wouldn't be surprised if he was.
"Well when you skateboard it looks like you are dancing, especially with Reki—"
"That isn't quite the same thing," Langa points out.
"I know... I just... nevermind, I'm sorry," Kojiro let's out a breath and un-clenches his hand from the fabric of his shirt.
"Okay. I only know the basics but Miya is quite good on his feet. Find someone to be your dancing partner and then tomorrow you and whoever you choose can come to the workshop," Langa decided.
That is how Kojiro shows up with Hiromi and Tadashi. The three had ended up hanging out together more often now that Adam and Kaoru were dating.
So this is how Hiromi ends up sitting on the workbench with his feet dangling off as Tadashi and Kojiro learn to dance.
They are holding each others left hands with Tadashi’s right hand on Kojiro’s shoulder and Kojiro’s hand on Tadashi’s waist.
"Stop looking down at your feet so much," Tadashi muttered. "We are only doing a box step so this really shouldn't be that hard," he tacked on.
"Sorry, you don't have to do this—"
"And who will take my place? Hiromi?" Tadashi asked.
Kojiro didn't get a chance to answer and Hiromi didn't have a chance to defend himself because Miya was telling them about how they were too stiff.
"Why do you guys have to do this here?" Reki asked with a groan.
"I don't want them at my place," Miya mentioned with a shrug.
"We don't have enough floor space," Langa tacked on as he watched.
Regardless, Kojiro seemed nervous. Tadashi seemed overly professional.
There was certainly no passion.
"Can you two pretend that you want to dance with each other?" Miya requested with an eye roll.
"He was stepping on my feet for the first seven minutes of this. I apologize for my lack of interest," Tadashi grumbled.
"Sorry," Kojiro muttered.
