Some rips just stick in my mind as homework music, yknow?

I'd seen wheel able's name show up plenty of times over the course of the channel's life, but I honestly didn't really make an attempt at drawing a line between the kinds of rips they'd make. Was very surprised to learn they're behind a lot of my all-timers when it comes to chill tunes: Usually delivering fantastic rips built upon or inspired by Donkey Kong Country. This here's a pretty blatant example of that, but its exactly what you'd want out of it. Its David Wise's music as composed for Snake Pass (a lovely little game, by the by!), redone in the style of his old Donkey Kong Country songs like Aquatic Ambiance. The result manages to sound widely different yet all so familiar at the same time. Homey, I guess you could call it.

Rips like these aren't always the most interesting to talk about or discuss, but that's fine! For the entire ten minute runtime of this track you're continually reminded of not just David Wise's absolute excellence, but of just how much the music of video games has inspired others to make stuff like this rip: Full-scale arrangements, for no monetary gain, just for the sake of honoring one guy's particular style of music.

I got all collectables and the game gave me a nice reward for it!!! I loved Snake Pass so much. Really recommend if you like platforming puzzles with tight, difficult but satisfying controls
