Halimaween Day 12: Magtitima
Are the unseen inhabitants of large ancient trees. It requires a sacrifice of a white chicken to go across their domain. Sometimes they can be seen as white serpents slithering amongst the tangled vines of Balete trees.
I just added the face. She kinda showed up while I wa sketching the leaves. The red pointy things at the end of balete tree branches kinda looks like horns. This reminds me of a story where I wasn't allowed to stare at the trees at night, lest something stares back.
Here are some sigil ideas I sketched during class.
Adapt them however you wish.
In case you cant read, here's a description;
The top sigil is intended to help with seeing into the past and/or future. The sigil is meant more for clairvoyance, but if it helps you in a different way then so be it.
Key symbolism for the top sigil includes serpents, eyes, moons and spirals.
All of the above including the monochrome colours are meant to invoke dualistic energies to connect to the past and future.
The snakes, moons and spirals also connect with the intentions thanks to their cyclical nature.
The eyes are meant to tie into the aspect of the gift of clairvoyance.
The bottom one is purposefully designed to be as adaptable as possible.
It relies on the symbolism of the snake entity Ouroboros to create the magickal intent of the sigils magick into being.
Use a key symbol on the head that is supposed to embody the whole of your sigils intent, i.e: a moon for lunar workings and anything associated with the moon, etc.
Then use the body of the snake to write out in a normal language or a magickal one (my example is in ogham) a key word or phrase that defines the sigils purpose. If not you can list various other symbols on its body.
In the centre then, you can do various things.
You can write the name of a person you're creating the sigil for, symbols of importance, or just leave it blank if you want to keep things simple if you worry about loosing your focus.
Hope you enjoy using these if you ever need them!
Quick Tip
Snake spirits make flexible cuddlers.
