I can just imagine the Squad being on a jungle planet for whatever and somehow it has earthen snakes and stuff on it. So like at some point everyone else notices Salvo has disappeared so they backtrack, and Eights nearly has a stroke when they find Salvo with a giant jungle snek (that isn't strangling him because it senses his inner snek) draped across his shoulders.

He and snakes just gravitate toward each other!

yeah! so noct’s afraid of snakes after the marilith attack. but not snakes themselves ( for e.g. the naga you encounter in fociaugh doesn’t bother him ) but rather certain things about them: he doesn’t like the sounds they make ( hissing sounds / etc ) and REALLY hates the sounds of scales scraping over the ground. it’s not that he reacts loudly to it just that it makes him disgustingly uncomfortable.

HE’S ALSO afraid of being ? constrained. not sure how to explain this one but pretty much if he cant walk / run or is held down / tied up he freaks OUT. he reacts pretty violently if you try to hold him & this includes jokingly? he just doesnt like it. at all. its his one big no no.
