got my car back from the mechanic last week and realized i forgot a thing of peppermint chocolate covered pretzels i got in a xmas basket in my trunk and there was a hole in the bag and one of the pretzels was chipped in a weird way that together made it seem like maybe a mouse got at it but i didnt understand why a mouse would have been in my car so chalked it up as maybe just getting punctured when i had a lot of stuff packed in it the week before but now today i noticed there were a bunch of little silver and green things in my trunk and when i looked closer it was clearly little bits of the pretzel bag gnawed up and then i looked closer and there was mouse shit :(
i guess it makes sense but i literally have never heard of mice getting into cars before like how did it get in there???? like i know mice can squeeze into small places but like what path would it even take to get in the trunk?? did the mechanic not close the trunk properly???
assuming its gone its been 2 weeks and i’ve driven a lot since then but sooo worried its either dead in there and gonna smell or somehow is still alive and i’m putting my groceries in there and stuff :( need to clean out my car now so its sanitary but i dont even own a vacuum or anything rn
also silly but sad i cannot eat the pretzels they looked really good :(
